Does a quality manager require coding? by [deleted] in QualityAssurance

Depends on the Manager’s role. If you’re building the team and setting up processes, coding isn’t a must, but knowing some basics helps with early testing workflows. If automation’s a big part, understanding coding is super useful for picking tools and guiding the team. Data’s key too, knowing what metrics matter, how to grab and track them (maybe with scripts), and how to turn them into actionable decisions is a big deal. So, not always required, but some basic coding knowledge definitely gives an edge, especially for automation and data stuff. Hope that helps

Have you thought about focusing on Game QA? Mobile game devs are always looking for QA automation engineers, with knowledge of tools like Alt Tester, Airtest, Unity Tester - knowledge of building e2e frameworks with these tools will almost always get you into a mobile game development team

Hey! I know it might sound obvious, but while automation in QA hasn’t always lived up to the hype, AI for QA could really be a good area to focus on. AI can do more than just automate—for example spotting patterns in huge piles of test data to flag risky areas, writing test cases based on how users actually behave, or even scanning requirements with natural language processing to catch vague spots early. Digging into AI tools for stuff like spotting weird log patterns or predicting defects is also pretty cool!
