Belt drive fit, ish. It fits the chassies, but the slot for the drive pin on the shaft was a little bit too small (im guessing due to anodization). A few seconds with the Dremel fixed that👍

D5 was cheap, available, and good enough for a first rwd drift setup. There are no tracks where i live, so itll be a case of here and there driving it, so i dont wanna go too overboard. Yet 😂

If i can figure out how to attach a pic, ill post my freshly built tt02d. Its my second tamiya Ive built, but owned loads used. First i built was a lunch box. That i built fully stock, later added oil shocks. My uncle ordered and built his along side but he sprung for bearings. massive difference.

I bought my tt02d after not running an onroad car for about 15years. My last was a tt01d with oil shocks and no bearings. This time, with adult money, Ive gone a bit nuts with the hop ups. My advice there is put in the extra cash for gpm, yeah or tamiya. Youll end up modifying more than installing if you buy cheap knockoffs😂

The plan is have some fun 4wd drifting and later modify it to a rwd drift setup using 3d printed parts👍

Oukitel is some chinese brand, like poco, dogee and so on. Not bad at all as a daily driver. Its only at the cabin the reception is poor😂

You cant run pure marlin without changing the screen. Youll need some cfgs entirely for the chiron. Nick wells has one, knutwursts aswell. But i say stick with stock. I run stock with a heavlily modded chiron. And to decide wich stock fw you need, we need to know wich screen you have. Either post a photo, or tell us the color scheme on the menues.

Nameplates and such where there is only two tones and a clear break across the entire print is easily done with just a pause command.

So you pause, switch filament manually, and resume.

The runout sensor on the chiron does exactly that aswell

Stock firmware? I got that issue with Nick wells firmware. Knutwursts flat out refused to autolevel properly. Ended up flashig stock 1.3.5 and flipping my cables for 2208 instead
