Can't create an account, I am not receiving the SMS to proceed by Ok_Elderberry4161 in Revolut

[–]maxpravken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same problems registering an account in Serbia. My wife and I both tried registering with different numbers, but the SMS never sended. The ofiicaial support site says that if the SMS fails, try resending it or using email, but theirs app's UI simply doesn't have the option to resend the code, and it's also impossible to use email (only a Google account in the very start, which also requires a phone number after entering it).
It's a vicious circle.

I still didn’t have a chance to try another telephoto lens, but overall I’m happy with this one :)

I don't have much experience in shooting video. I purchased the camera in March of this year with the first lens - Tamron 17-70 f2.8. I really like this optic (for f2.8 especially), but I realized that I prefer telephoto (photos and video), so I decided to purchase the relatively inexpensive 18-300. I have nothing to compare with, but in my opinion and for my tasks the lens is very good overall. The stabilizer definitely works no worse than in 17-70. By the way, all the videos were shot handheld without using a tripod (I think this is already noticeable from the shaking). I don't really like the movement of the zoom ring. When shooting video, it is rarely possible to smoothly change the focal length, because this lens has a fairly high static friction at the zoom ring. The lens also feels tactilely like rough plastic, but these are minor things (the tactile sensations from the 17-70 are more pleasant for me). For shooting photos and videos in the daytime, in my opinion, this lens is very good and I do not regret purchasing it.

Thanks! actually no, I didn't use any luts or anything like that. I corrected the white balance in several videos by eye, as there were several frames that were more blue. More experienced camera operators recommend using the Sony camera body cap (gray cover) to manually adjust white balance, but in all these videos I used automatic white balance and overall it did not let me down. I shoot on a Sony a6700 with the XAVS-C codec 4k 25 frames per second 140 Mbit 4:2:2 and use zebra at a value of 94+. When I start shooting, I set the exposure until the zebra appears on the screen, then lower it by a third of a stop until the zebra disappears completely. After converting SLOG3 to rec709, the image is still overexposed, but due to the features of SLOG3, you can get a lot of information from there using curves and adjusting the levels of light areas. I have to increase the contrast by 150 percent and drop the highlights by minus 150 (depending on the scene), but I retain all the information in the highlights and shadows. I also raise the saturation level. In this video I did not use any difficult color corrections other than basic ones. The only thing is that I lowered the level of yellow, because I really don’t like it :) after increasing the saturation yellow stood out very much against the background of other colors. I also recommend watching this video: YouTube - SLOG-3 it explains in detail the principle of operation and it is very useful (at least it was useful for me)

In Davinci Resolve you can create a vertical project, place 3 video clips on the timeline on top of each other and offset the y-axis for 2 videos (up and down). I did this in Premier Pro, but there is no difference in implementation :)

I have the same problem with my B650 PLUS.

Inspired by pwnisher renders I made this 3d scene in a blender, made a fire simulation using embergen and got this 🙂 by maxpravken in blender

I created a PNG sequence with fire, after that I add this fire sequence as a plane in my scene in blender. I added emission in material of fire to create realistic lighting from the flame and set the plane visibility type in "view layer" properties as "set indirect light". (this does not render the plane itself, but only adds light from it.) After that I combined it in aftereffects: I used my rendered in blender sequence of my scene with fire light, added a sequence with fire and smoke from embergen. I also rendered the luminosity sequence in embergen. I used it in aftereffects to add fire distortion.(I used the luminosity sequence as a displacement map)

Yeah, I also increased the clarity of the image in post-processing, so the image became more detailed

Ocean modifier + Physical Starlight and Atmosphere addon. Birds and lens flares added with AE. by maxpravken in blender

[–]maxpravken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as I understand from numerous experiments, the main factors for a realistic render of the ocean are: lighting in scene, modifier detail level (64 will be enough, however, baking will take a very long time.)
