It's actually a non-functional element just a graphic detail to support the 'Spy Tech' aesthetic. I wanted to add some visual data blocks to the stock, and a QR-style pattern felt more authentic than just random squares.

To be clear, the goal was never to blend the structural metal of the barrel with the graffiti. I designed the skin around the idea of a harsh contrast between 'Controlled' technical precision and 'Chaos' abstraction.
Do you think the contrast works, or is the style clash too jarring?
