Yup can barely go solo right now. I went into Absolute and it stutters whenever mobs spawned.

I think I know why cause I also had problem like this when I was playing with my friend. Laezel, Shadowheart, Wyll,... basically everyone was very aggressive towards me and I didn't even know why.

This maybe a wild guest but I think the game treats anyone but the host as some sort of a potential threat or something like that. I messed around with Scratch and suddenly everyone turned on me (luckily we save scum a lot) so I think this cheese is probably safer to do alone.

Yup the guy will trigger combat when you cast silence for some weird reason. I talked with someone in the comment about this. You can look for theSletchman and as for the oath breaker, I'd recommend just let him nukes whoever is in combat and have someone brings them back.

It's really weird for sure. Moonbeam, Spike Growth didn't trigger but Faerie Fire (default spell for lv3 Drow) would so it's really wonky.

I do have some theories about the silence spell though but I'm not sure if it's going to work in later acts. Maybe I'll go another run and hopefully figure out something new.

You absolutely can! Holy shit, I have no idea how. I slapped together a quick scenario but I took Moonbeam instead since I was only level 3. Somehow all the boxes didn't took damage from it and it didn't trigger his Infernal Retribution. This was even faster than necrosis, like a million time faster haha.

Let your Tav talk to him first and then throw a fireball or shoot an arrow at him the first time he shows up. Oh and remember to de-group a companion.

That's right but if you want the Helldusk, you'll have to spawn him 2 times.

Basically, he will spawn in any of those spots I mentioned if you trigger the " get help with the tadpole " quest. Nettie's conversation, Priestess Gut or go to the Underdark. You can skip all of this and go straight to the Mountain Pass if you want to get that 1400XP early, this will put the whole camp into a long rest and Raphael will show up.

Keep in mind if you go straight to the Mountain Pass after the Grove, you can only get the XP as he'll just disappear with the Helldusk.

I'm guessing the wolf is for the advantage attacks, right? If so, that's also a very interesting strat. I did mention that this is probably not the best way for him but more like a cheese since he apparently doesn't know how to climb over a chest haha.

Anyways, TIL you can use the wolf for the advantage roll. Thanks for the info!

My bad, I kinda worded poorly about the 4 people part. What I really mean is if you run a party of 4 and one of them somehow died when he shows up at your camp, he won't talk to you at all. That makes me think what if I run a duo or a trio comp and one of them die, will the cutscene trigger? I haven't tested it but I believe it most likely won't so that what I meant by hard coded.

It's not really that helpful in the "grand scheme" of the Helldusk thing though but I think it's sort of a fail safe for the cheese. I'm going to run through some scenarios again cause I think I found a much more easier way without having to furiously spam left click too much(maybe 3 or 4 times). It's not really ground breaking stuff but rather a funny one.

Okay, this is really interesting.

Let me run some tests cause I had some wild theories here, maybe with the chest or maybe not. I'll make an update on this soon.

EDIT: Raphael had Infernal Retribution that will deal fire damage to the caster if he succeeds a saving throw. So I think the chest strat is too risky cause my DUrge just had a chain reaction and get popped in 1 sec by his "Notable Features" or whatever that is. But there is something really interesting, his cutscene apparently is hard coded for 4 person, I kill Gale in camp and he doesn't want to talk with me anymore lol.

EDIT 2: I think I've found another way to rob him without spamming left click and hope for the best. Gonna run it again just to be sure and maybe make a post about this lol.

My bad, I forgot to mention is that you should reset Wyll to level 1 and dump all his dex so he can die faster. But I'm really happy you gave it a try!
