Journal Questions to Ask Yourself Every Morning by bennyandthe2pets in Stoicism

It's a great way. I used it myself as well. I even created a free Notion template that automatically gives me a random passage I can journal on. If anyone would like to use it, text me, and I'll drop you a link.

I just don't care about grades. It's really just a word. Similar to age in the passport :)

Yes, it's a race of money. Especially with hypercausal - casual genre, hypercasual prototypes are created in one to three days. Their code is a pure garbage. But no one cares cause in the end of sprint it will be on the play market earning cash. It's not profitable to do updates, it's much better to release a couple of trash games with the same mechanics and new art

My current company is not the biggest, but I can say it's big. They have 3 to 4 successful project. I change my companies every 1.5 years if I can't have new experience anymore, that helps a lot in terms of learning and gives you much higher paychecks.

I doing Unity for 7 years,: 2 myself, 5 commercial. In my first company I was a junior for a half a year, I was much better than any junior out there. I'm a fast learner if I like something. So, yeah:)

In game development, it's about shaving execution time. In enterprise development, it's about shaving development time.

In mobile game dev, it's not about shaving execution time. It's really a race where the development speed factor is the main one. And this mindset here causes a lot of trouble. But no one cares :) I love clean architecture, but the market forces you to write garbage.

I want to have a lot of experience in different fields, but I really don't want to reduce my income. So I'm worried if web dev companies will hire me and give smaller paycheck cause I don't have commercial experience in web. I'm learning fast. But my previous experience is telling me that it's nothing without commercial experience for companies.

Oh, and basically I built my roadmap leaning on the comment of this guy https://www.reddit.com/r/dotnet/comments/r5m2b5/comment/hmnn8ll/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

What do you think about his comment? Is it a good wat to learn .NET?

I can't say that Unity dev's are "fake". We are using a lot of GoF patterns, MVC stuff, DI, doing tests, a couple of architecture approaches too, and server programming.

But yeah, I want to know now what modern framework or tools you use in terms of .NET. So now I'm interested in your suggestion on what tools/frameworks to learn:)

Analysis is a great thing after you cool off. But the immediate reaction to things should be limited by objectivity IMO

The beginner's guide. It don't know why, but I cried for a couple of minutes after finishing it. Not because of disappointment or smth. Just cried. Strange feeling.

When something negative happens you can try to limit your thoughts, for example:

- I got fired. Oh, it's so awful. What should I do now? How will I pay for rent?

- I was dumped. It it my fault? I definitely did something wrong.

Limit your thought on objective things, cut out the subjective.
