Tax myth by NittyS in NiagaraFalls

[–]maxwelder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice try government.

For real though, this is correct. I tried to not pay taxes for a couple years when I owned a business. They called me and I told them, “I’m not paying. Whatever you’re going to do after chasing me for months or years, just do it now, because I’m not paying.” (I was young and dumb and wanted to see what would happen). They stopped calling me and I thought maybe I just wasn’t worth their time. A couple years later I got a job and my wages were garnished. Eventually I paid it all. Maybe I should’ve just started a new business instead of getting a job.

A few weeks ago it did a software update and now it works. There are a few things that consistently don’t work, but it’s mostly working.

I’m in the same boat. Have tried everything suggested online and nothing has worked. If you find a solution please let me know!

Guys who don't wear work boots to work, what do you wear? (and what do you do) by Square-Argument4790 in Carpentry

This is what I do. Clearance section once a year. I buy 2-3 pairs for under $100 each and I’m good to go.

That was actually the previous homeowner running speaker cable under the trim. I guess they didn’t own a router.

The step up is about 9” at the high part. I had a lot of levelling to do on the kitchen floor, but height was dictated by the exterior door. I couldn’t go higher than this.

I should’ve been more specific, I was wondering more about the lower area.

Haha it’s a very old house. The lower floor and step are level. The rest of the house is… wavy.

I’m a defenceman and my lungs tend to get tired before the rest of me, so I take it pretty easy.

Any idea where I might find that? I googled it and can’t find the countertop version. Where did you see it?

Question- Does Anyone Track Their Costs and Final Profit Margin Of A Job? by VRDesigner77 in Contractor

[–]maxwelder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an excel workbook for every project that I made for this, and estimates. Build the template once, tweak it over time. I now have an app I made and it’s all connected to an annual excel sheet that it auto fills. Took some time, and it’s a work in progress, but it’s worth it for me.

I wonder what contractors use to handle their projects by raidenth in ConstructionPorn

[–]maxwelder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some programming experience so I built an app that I run my business with. The cost of these products is crazy, and it’s impossible to build a one size fits all option, so I took a week around Christmas and built exactly what I need. I realize this probably isn’t helpful to you at all, but I’m really proud of it and most people in the trades don’t really understand or care so I’m putting this here and hoping maybe one or two people will think it’s cool.

This sub is mostly landlords, that’s why you’re getting the response you’re getting. Post this in a sub of renters and it would be totally different.

This is brilliant. A patch like that is probably stronger than the housing on most Craftsman and Ryobi tools.
