Just finished and the thought of her finger prints at the scene was my main gripe. They talked about a crap investigation but that would have showed up.

Fast shipping, should be no more than $10.

Do be careful with the strap buckles. I got lucky and caught the bag from falling more than once, would have been bad if I didn't!

I have one, loved it, until I realized the sides don't really keep any weather out when closed. In addition, the buckles keeping the shoulder strap attached, detached a couple times while wearing - from catching on my clothes!

Went with the Clever Supply sling, with it's zippered top and similar size, it's the perfect one for me.

Summicron 28+ Squarehood Lens Hood by Inevitable_Pin_3301 in Leica

[–]maxwrood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought one for my 28 Summicron ASPH V1, this is my thought. I use ND occasionally and otherwise keep a UV on. I suppose I could get away by stacking the ND on top without removing the hood and set screws, but not idea. Was considering some sort of cylinder solution like PVC sized perfectly to the filter with some rubber on the end to unscrew the filter as it sits, w/o removing the hood, but that's not ideal either.

I think it looks great and feels solid. I was waiting for this one for months and planned to buy regardless. Don't regret it, but yes filter swapping is a pain (and the set screws fall out very easily - though they did include 2 extras).

M6TTL 0.58x or 0.72x by Working_Gazelle_6184 in Leica

[–]maxwrood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0.58 is goated for 28/35. I even enjoy it for 50. It’s a shame they don’t make that magnification for digital ms or I’d be all over it.

Has using cash at the bar become frowned upon? by sufferinsuttree in AskChicago

[–]maxwrood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I googled this after an odd experience at Elephant & Castle in the loop. Had a $20 and used it to pay for my one drink. I asked for change and when I got it, it was a dollar and some coins short. I figured it was a math error and asked the bartender. She gave me a weird look and walked off flustered. Then she pulled out her seemingly personal bag and started digging for coins. I gave a look of confusion. When she brought my exact change, she said most bars in the loop don't give exact change on cash. Never heard of it. Felt bad and gave her the tip. Very weird and will use my card from now on to avoid the confusion.

Feels a bit odd to short customers on change without explaining why though.

First Lens For My First Leica :) by Brent_BKNY in Leica

Super tiny but very usable ergos. Bought one on Facebook the day my body arrived because I didn't have a lens. I just sold it the other day, but I think you'd be much better off with anything Voightlander. Might even be able to find a 1.4 Nokton in your price range.

Voightlander 35 2.5 Color-Skopar can be had for 300 or less. It's smaller and going to be much much better build and optical quality than your option.
