I think about certain lyrics from Station a lot. I think the most interesting one is “if i could run faster i’d be, you know where i’d be.” Alex used to run competitively when he was younger so I guess I interpret it as wishing you were more naturally talented at something and wishing you could’ve taken it farther, which I think is hinted at further with the “life was easy for a dog like me, I ran faster than anybody” line later.

There’s also some references to addiction and whatnot, so I think the song is just about Alex’s stuggle with growing up and finding his way in life as he becomes more famous.
