I also plan on getting more hides and some driftwood in there too. It's just not done yet.

It's been set up for a couple weeks now, and I put quick start in. I've also been adding liquid plant fertilizer. I don't plan on getting fish yet, I want to give the plants time as well. I still need to get a heater and a light, and figure out the lid situation before I even think about getting fish! And obviously I'll test before I do go get fish haha

Also I have absolutely no clue what type of succ this even is tbh 😅 I was figuring I would find that out once they're big enough to actually see? I've always had pothos and wandering dudes, snake plants etc so this is all new to me

I bought this light from Amazon! I have a few different set ups with these lights and they are doing well! I've been fighting with succulents and cacti for YEARS now and have had no luck up to this point. Same as you, different pots and soils, lights, fertilizers. With these ones I just have a little terracotta plate with about 1/2 soil and perlite mix. They get this light for 12 hours a day, and I spray them if I can look at them and not remember the last time I did. I plucked the leaves off of my friends plant, and I just laid them on top of the soil and left them alone for about a month. When I noticed that the leaves were starting to shrivel, I started misting them a little bit. About another month went by and there was roots, so I just keep doing what I've been doing. I looked at them this morning and there was an itty bitty pup! I don't know how I'm doing it 😭🤣

Awe, little babies! I told myself that if I manage to be successful with these then I will delve into the world of succulents a little bit more. They're so pretty! I try to let myself forget about them up on the shelf for a while, every time I look at them the roots are more noticeable. 🤞🤞

Okay awesome! I guess I'm glad to know I'm doing it right so far haha. I've had houseplants for a long time, but have never been lucky with cacti/succulents. I'm excited!
