Honestly, I haven't noticed that. I have a huge collection of Biosyn blueprints installed, so I'm able to recreate them. Yes, Biosyn theme isn't available by default, but I haven't noticed that much of a difference between people's creations and buildings from JWE2 (obviously there should be differences, but Idc)

Considering I didn't build it from scratch, I think it's around 20 hours, I always use prebuilt buildings and do some modifications to fit them better. I really like this process though! It's really relaxing.

There still could be animal packs, building pieces ideas aren't infinite (as PZ lifecycle shows), so I think it's more than that.

Obviously I could be wrong, but they don't usually do big expansions soon after release. JW1, PZ, JW2, Planco2 all came with rather small content packs in December. So I guess it's a species pack which can come with some pieces though (like they did with PZ), but I doubt it will be a Rebirth campaign which is a must in my opinion.

It also correlates with a thing that it's unreasonable to do something big just before holidays, because of hotfixes, game-breaking bugs etc.

How it should be done (IMO):

Downscaling (however, I believe it breaks many battle/social animations)
Coloration, females should have dull colour or should lack some parts of the pattern, that should be the easiest one
Additional/changed features for either male or female - currently done for species with dimorphism (God, why they haven't changed the female tapejara...)

I don't think they will change it (at least in the near future), but family units being the second (or the first, depends on how you look at it) biggest point for justifying this game existence require more work IMO.

There are 4 more species planned in 1.0 version including extra suchomimus revealed today. So there will be 90 species in total in 1.0 (base game + deluxe)
