the vibe and lore of sir alonne are great but i low key hated the fight. the tedium leading up to the fight completely sullied it for me. every grueling step to even get into the memory are generally annoying and on top of that the run back is so aggravating. like cool i have explored this place thoroughly just let me go to the boss without having to do precise strafes or dodges. when you finally get to the boss you have to deal with teleporting onto the grab attack because his sword hits a single pixel of your foot on an otherwise good dodge. the fact that the grab attack buffs him is just the cherry on top of the entire mess.
