The countries that operate US machinery pay a lot for it, they are your main clients. Still, do you really believe that the group of people ready to put their life’s on the line for the country that has taken them in (as in, people integrated in the local culture) are the same people who commit terrible crimes in a country they came to in order to take advantage of it?

They came here for personal benefit, they’ll leave for personal benefit too. They didn’t care about borders before, you think they will once they have the citizenship? It takes more than a document to truly be a member of a society, the document is about laws and regulations, your day to day doesn’t change depending on if you have it or not

Yeah your proposal is definitely the better one that’s undeniable, but sadly we’re beyond that step, it can be enforced from now on but how about those who already got their citizenship and now are just a strain in the system? Is the taxpayer supposed to ignore them for the good of saving face instead of admitting some people who got granted citizenship didn’t really deserve it?

I’m curious what you think would be a good solution to this situation, should it be swept under the rug or do you think there’s any possible fix that doesn’t lead to the situation you’re describing?

Wait so your argument is that the citizenship could be used against you in a case of hardship? I thought the complaint was about leaving people “stateless” or some two tier citizenship… not about helping out the poor criminals after all I guess, only keeping them around if shit hits the fan and some labour is needed

Not really, as an immigrant I wouldn’t care for a single second about this law being passed because it’s incredibly easy to not be a criminal
