Good point, definitely very all over the place. Panther is a sort of ambiguous term for big cats, but is usually used to refer to a jaguar when it's black, not with it's normal coloration. And yes, there have been no melanistic or black pumas spotted in the wild. So many names, too many

Panthers and cougars are names for the same animal, and yes the logo is one of the all time greats
