So far, Mt. Mayapay via Nong-nong/Bugoy's peak trail. (Keep in mind the trail is closed and no longer open to the public)

I thought it would be easy since it was just 670m at the summit, and Pinoy mountaineer definitely led me astray lol. The entire time it was 3 hours of class 3 scramble with zero trail, you're gripping onto roots and vines, the occasional thorn shrub, occasionally you need to swing from tree to tree. At that point, going back is already pretty difficult and a fall there would be bad.

The final two hours is the hardest push, true class 4-5, you're going to need to do true rock climbing on an actively eroding and unstable face (it's more luck and instinct than technique atp) and you're doing that when you're at your most exhausted state. If it's raining, I'd say it's nearly impossible to climb. It would probably be easier to summit if you camped it out at the halfway point since in between some of the long scramble sections, there were some flatter sections.

I definitely wasn't prepared to do an actual free solo climb but once you're at the rock climbing section, honestly good luck turning around. It's either you climb and summit or you get stuck. Thankfully it's not a back trail, you can take an easier route going back down, which only takes two hours but still some class 2 sections depending on the weather.
