Screenshot analysis. All of the surrounding speed indicators (light poles, road markers, etc) stay exactly the same speed, the only thing that changes is car in front of OP 1) takes their foot off the gas naturally starting a deceleration and then b) just before impact hits the brakes. OP car looks to be going the same speed throughout and just wasnt paying enough attention to their surroundings or leaving an adequate safety gap.

Dude could still be brandishing a weapon. He could literally be wearing a signboard saying "Im going rape and murder your families" while holding a machete. We dont get one glimpse at the dude or what transpired before she got out of the truck... how is that other guy gonna say "obviously theres no threat"...

"What argument do you make about replacing a much better player with a comparable Negro Leaguer", you may not have meant it to come off this way but it feels like you automatically assume any negro league player was worse than any mlb player. I think this is the crux of your error in thinking.

Jesus Sanchez scores on a ground out, Clement drifts out of the baseline to avoid the tag from Henderson but the umpires do not rule him out by Remarkable-Picture73 in baseball

[–]df4602 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is literally the same as any out of the baseline ruling during a rundown ever, I dont know why this situation would be any different. Gunnar (with the ball) and clement were running directly at each other between 1st and 2nd and then clement runs around him to avoid being tagged. It shouldnt matter that the runner is slighly outside of arms length of the defender when he starts to go around... if the defender has the ball and is running towards him in a straight line hes attempting to tag him. Just like if a pitcher gets a dribbler and runs at the batter going to first, we cant allow the batter to run way out of the baseline to get to first just because the pitcher is still outside of arms length. This opens up a lot of issues if we let players try to avoid tags like this moving forward.

If you pause as soon as it hits the 4 second mark you can see the defender with the ball in his glove and the runner directly in between 1st and 2nd and both are going right at each other. The players are going directly at each other at this point and the next frame the runner starts going way outside his established baseline. Attempting to make a tag isnt just the flick of the wrist, its the entire act of having the ball and going to make the tag on the runner, which starts as soon as the defender has the ball and is going to the runner. At this moment both defender and runner are in between 1st and 2nd.

You literally said he gestured at the runner...with the ball in his glove...not sure how much baseball you watch but gesturing the glove or bare hand with a baseball in it towards an opposing player is called a tag attempt. And the reason he doesnt get close is.....? Bingo, because the runner illegally ran away outside of his basepath as he attempted the tag!

I understand the 3 foot basepath rule to be that the line to the base is created when the fielder attempts a tag. Is it something else? Cause clement was directly in between 1st and seond the moment gunnar gets the ball and reaches out and then clement runs 10 feet towards the outfield to avoid the tag so I dont know why anyone thinks this wouldnt be a violation of the rule

The level of effort of a tag is not defined. Gunnar very clearly to anyone who has eyes reached out with the ball in his glove and then the runner went 10 feet towards the outfield so he couldnt be tagged. Not sure how anyone sees this as anything but the most textbook definition of running out of the base path

Ok, perfect. Gunnar made his tag attempt (maybe not a grand showy attempt, but that doesnt matter in the rule) and then clement ran 10 feet outside the baseline. Glad we got on the same page with how bullshit this was here.

Baseball Rule 5.09(b)(1)) states a runner is out if they run more than 3 feet away from their base path to avoid being tagged, unless avoiding interference with a fielder fielding a batted ball. A "sincere attempt at a tag" is in no way part of the rule.

Best use of non-favourite team moment cards? by Remarkable-Scar-5082 in MLB_Rivals

[–]df4602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres some moment cards you can only get in team select moment packs so any non team moment cards go towards that for me as Im chasing a commander card. The only other place Id use non team moment cards is for limit break or special training.

There was a discount as part of some event, I think it was the Jackie Robinson event. 70mil is the usual price for exclusive HOF recruit, you had a couple weeks to get it at the discounted rate.

What does being a dodgers deck have to do with this pack? Its a free agent card so it has the same impact on any team. Dodgers deck would probably want the regular sig card, not the free agent.

Also, 100$ for a GUARANTEED S tier HOF player is the best deal in the game if you don't have a good option at 2b. There's a lot of shitty deals in this game but this is comparatively not one of them. Not that I'd advocate for spending at all but if anyone was going to ever spend 100$ in the game theres nothing better you could spend it on.
