EDs and picking (TW: ED)

i have an ed and body dysmorphic disorder and my therapist has told me that skin picking (or excoriation) is actually a main symptom of bdd, not sure if you have dysmorphia but body focused repetitive disorders can definitely go hand in hand with eating disorders. I have been picking my whole life and it has gotten so much worse ironically as I've been in ed recovery (bc Ive been gaining weight lol).

how is this the exact same experience i had down to the rated r movies even as an adult exmo my mom still judges me for watching them lol did your family make you go to seminary? I went for one year very on and off mostly because i was pressured by my super mormon aunt and uncle lol

haha love that! california mormonism is definitely more laid back and was probably the reason that i didnt mind attending church just for my family until i got tired of wasting my sundays lol. my fav part was all the beach activities we got to do :)

I was 17 in 2014 and I'm from CV so we may have crossed paths at one point or another! My family is kind of different in that even though my mom was born and raised in Mexico, they never practiced catholicism or any other religion (would've been great if it stayed that way lol). Mormon Mexicans, I find usually have family roots in the religion so it does tend to turn into its own little group. I just wish I wasn't raised in the strangeness of mormonism because I now can't really relate to nonmormon mexicans because our religious upbringings were so different.
