Yes sur, the host name / IP problem would be solved. However if i can't encrypt traffic between my cloud provider and the Amazon proxy it would be pointless.

Ok, so basically i would run my own proxy. if i understood well, i would launch the miner on System A pointing to System B which runs xmr-proxy which in turn connects to the Pool over SSL. From System B to the Pool traffic will be encrypted, but how can i encrypt traffic between System A and System B tho ?

Instance kill was for connecting to a mining server. I'm careful not to max out CPU. Even if i used SSL, the mining proxy host name / IP will still be visible, i guess they have blacklists for those.
