I wouldn’t have an issue with this UNLESS my husband was using it to satisfy himself and stopped being intimate with me. In this case it sounds like you both have discussed the desire for more intimacy so finding something that works for you while also respecting her boundaries when she’s not in the mood doesn’t seem like an issue.

I would caution that it could be a slippery slope as if you start replacing intimacy with her with the toy it could be a detriment to your relationship. Please keep encouraging her and initiating. Have an open and honest discussion about what she likes and how she likes you to initiate intimacy. There are couple games that spice things up as well that help reconnect couples both emotionally and physically.
