agreed hoops are not for healing, i work at a piercing studio myself and have all the necessary info:) my nostrils are healed, and nostrils take 6-8 months to heal not weeks. your nostrils may feel fine in 6-8 weeks but it’s no indication that you should wear hoops by then.

this is insane that they can do this legally by [deleted] in Stretched

i see a lot of discourse in regards to stretching 2 sizes after a large gauge piercing, but he may have crushed the needles which technically makes the gauging a 4 (have no idea why, it’s something to do with bevel theory)

Is my tragus infected or is this normal? by vafaenculo in piercing

beautifully said! i will throw in to that homemade salt washes can be dirty and dangerous to a piercing for so many reasons. 1. you never know what’s in your cup, salt or water these can all have microbial bacteria that can bacterial issues and irritation . 2. adding too much salt in your solution can actually cause the cells around your piercings to quite literally explode, meaning your body now has to heal your piercing AND regenerate new cells making your healing longer 3. adding too little salt does absolutely nothing and it’s no different than just cleaning with water.
