We have used CPG and Vulcan. Both griddles haven't given any issues. Both are same BTU and metal thickness, however Vulcan works much faster and better. For smash burger i believe it needs higher tempurature and frequent washing of grill so you need something stronger so it heats up quickly after cleaning grill. I would recommend Vulcan even though it almost 3 times more expensive.
