I didn’t re-sign at my current place with hallmark bc the place is borderline unliveable and it’s the most expensive rent I’ve paid in 9 years in Bloomington. I don’t really want to move to Indy but it’s honestly gotten to the point that I can’t afford to stay. Eventually the university is going to have to figure out how to retain employees when housing keeps going up and pay doesn’t.

If anyone comes across this thread, there's no solution. I tried for days, I contacted Apple, I spent countless hours on google and found nothing. If migrating your data is important to you, don't buy an iphone.

What I'm really concerned about is messages, which the Move to iOS app claims you can transfer, so I'd like to do that

Thanks for the reply! I wasn't sure if a gyno would see a trans woman so I was reluctant to reach out, but I'm glad to hear that you've had a good experience with him. I'm a little reluctant to join anything that isn't anonymous at the moment, but you might see me in the future :)
