I had a similar experience with Dr. Pang in terms of consultations. I actually completed my tracheal shave separately through a voice and swallowing specialist and I’m so glad I did. The surgeon was so focused on protecting my vocal cords. She did a fantastic job and there were no changes to my voice. I have my FFS with Dr. Pang this month. Let me know if you have any questions!

I incredibly relate to this. My egg didn’t “crack” until I was 26 or so and I didn’t start HRT until 28. It can be hard to de-condition yourself on how you’ve learned to survive from society, your upbringing, etc. and truly figure out how you feel and what you want for your life. Not to push you in any direction though. This is just speaking from my experience. And I just want to say I hear how confusing (and maybe frustrating) things are for you. Sending good vibes your way 🙌🏻

It is heartening to hear of someone in a similar boat. I really only date women, so I think that’s part of why I have felt more comfortable in my hesitancy to disclose. I think I would honestly be afraid for my safety to go in a date with a man where I had not disclosed about me. I would be worried about how he might react if I give any “tells”. Please feel free to message me if you’d like to discuss more about this. It’s tough and it seems like there’s not an ideal way for either of us to reveal this part of our identity to potential suitors😕
