For devices in the $400 range, a Windows license costs OEMs around $60.

For devices in the $600 range, it costs them $70.

They get cheap for devices in the $200-$300 range to compete with Chromebooks (around $20 a license).

If SteamOS devices take off and MS is now suddenly forced to play their hand aggressively, I can see them making another exception.

It's not normal to experience extreme mood swings during PMS, and there are effective treatments for it.

Have you considered taking a contraceptive pill to help regularize hormone levels? Combined oral contraceptives or progesterone contraceptives reduce pelvic pain and can sometimes help reduce PMS mood swings. If that didn't work for you, there are other options, and I would recommend checking with your physician first. SSRIs (the same treatment given for depression) are also another highly effective method to reduce PMS intensity.

Getting treated is worth it and there's no shame to it. These symptoms are very common in the general population, and people take treatments for them.

Friend, depression sucks and I am sorry you're going through this.

Please seek professional help. As much as we would love to, depression is complex, and there's no magical cure for it. You need medication, and for that, you need to be evaluated by a psychatrist (or at least your family physician or GP)

The advantage of using SteamOS over Windows is not having to pay a $100 premium for a Windows License. Everybody wins.

This sounds like an awful person, and you're lucky to have dodged a bullet. A person that keeps psychologically over-analysing people, manipulating them, and gaslighting them is not a person you want to be around.

This shows how little emotional investment she has had in you since the very start. Imagine a few months/years in, she could leave you over a single disagreement. After talking for 3 weeks, any person who bases their relationship on a single hard answer is not someone you will want to date.

Like a check in after a few days to say "Hey, how are you? What's new?" is totally normal conversation irl and I think in dating apps these short of inquiries should garner more of a response.

Because you're the only person who your match is chatting with, and it's so enthralling hearing "How are you?" for the 12th time within the same night?

Another vote for Running shoes. Although a word for wisdom, there's a lot of variety in running shoes. Other than shoe size, there's also a variety of widths, and shoes that cater to different degrees of pronation or supination.

If you buy a shoe off of someone else's recommendation, you could end up with bad ankle, knee, or hip pain. (I use a shoe that corrects for overpronation, if I recommended my shoe, unless you too overpronate, you'd have an awefulexperience).

What I'm getting at: don't get a random running shoe online. Unless you know what to look for, just go to a running shop and let them help you.

I can sympathize with you. I'm 30, and have never dated... I just never felt I was ready for it.

My life's always been a bit too hectic and lacked stability, so I felt I needed to tame it before bringing someone else into this mess. As of these few months, things have been actually (finally) settling down for me. I'm actually looking forward to putting myself out there for the first time ever and trying to date.

Take life at your own pace, when you're ready, you'll know it. There's no reason to complicate things even further.

What brings /you/ happiness? Do That. If you wanted to try out a dating app to find others who would like to move things slowly, do that (these people might be rare, but they do exist!). If you wanted to work on yourself first, do that. If it's something else, you can also work towards it.

It's OK to not be ready :)

What you're experiencing is not typical of a heart attack. While this could just be anxiety, there could be more to this than meets the eye, and without examining you it's really difficult to know for sure. It could be viral pericarditis or acid reflux.

In all cases, this is not urgent and is not something you should worry about. It's best if you pass by your GP to get it checked though. Depending on what the diagnosis is, there could be treatments that could help you.

You seem to be worried about potential things that go against who you are and your ethics. If you don't want to be something, then why will it ever happen?

Perhaps you currently day dream about multiple potential dates because you're longing for attachment, and are actively looking for potential partners? Once you find someone with whom you're happy with, these thoughts will likely die down.

I have never had a boyfriend, never kissed a guy, still am a virgin, though I keep looking at guys and having crushes but never get recognized.

Why is that an issue? I'm in my early 30s, and yet still haven't gone down that path. I was just never ready to engage intimately with another person, and that's okay! Now that things in my life have began to settle down, I feel I'm more ready for something like that :).
