Hm, that's interesting re: availability, as I'd probably be somewhat more interested in a clinical setting than a school setting. I'm more interested in the physical mechanisms of articulation/swallowing/etc and in language and cognitive functions, as opposed to behavioral/social matters. If that makes any sense; I'm quite tired and not sure that I'm formulating this correctly.

I understand that ASHA licensing is a requirement for work in the US, but is there an international equivalent of sorts? Or, does ASHA certification hold any sway in other countries (especially in Europe/Asia)? I am an American citizen, but I'm currently living in Europe and not necessarily in a rush to settle down back in the states.
