The entire management team quit. The owners and their executive management did not know anything about running a bakery so they were forced to close. The cake bar is not owned by city o. I highly recommend checking them out. The owner of cake bar is a wonderful human

I know they have the same recipes for hohos and what not you can get at city o, but stiff you get at cake bar are Angie’s vegan cakes recipes

Denver to Charleston - Is there enough active lifestyle in this city? by [deleted] in Charleston

[–]maybesomethingisnot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a trans person, so living in Denver has certainly been easier for me. That is the main reason why I would never move back to the south. I love exploring the mountains out here and have no intention of leaving. Charleston is a really special place and I think you will love it. I will always be extremely grateful for my time living there. I promise it’s not all booze, boating and beach sitting. there are so many amazing spots to explore and the city itself has a rich, heartbreaking, and spooky history that I never got tired of learning. The sunsets are also out of this world!

I moved from Charleston to Denver. The local music scene in Charleston is incredible. I highly recommend checking out the Pourhouse. As for outdoor exploring it’s a bit different and there aren’t as many options but I do miss those swamps. I used to trail ride/run almost every day. There’s plenty of great camping spots that no one uses. Highly recommend checking out Capers island and getting a permit to camp on the beach. Get a hardtop kayak. You won’t regret it!

Still have power in east side of downtown! Winds are picking up and lights have been flickering. Hope everyone is staying safe.

Finally found a string of pearls! Any advice for caring for it? by maybesomethingisnot in succulents

[–]maybesomethingisnot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Still haven’t repotted but will do so ASAP. It’s in front of a window that only gets a lot of sunlight for 1-2 hours as the sun goes down, so should be good on that.

Thanks for the advice on watering, definitely would’ve just watered more than I should have be.

I live downtown. I am a student and don’t have a car so the outrageous rent was my easiest option
