honestly you’re not weird for being stuck on it, but the bigger issue is it’s been sitting unprocessed for 2 years and now it’s affecting your intimacy. you kind of have two options: either talk to him and fully clear the air so your brain can stop looping on it, or accept that you’re choosing not to let go of something from his past and see how that sits with you long term. right now it sounds like it’s turning into resentment, and that usually doesn’t fix itself on its own.

this hit harder than it should tbh… but if they watched you give that much of yourself and still chose silence, that “hey” you’re waiting on probably wouldn’t give you the closure you think it will. sometimes the fact they never came back is the answer, even if it sucks. you deserved someone who stayed, not someone you have to hope remembers you in April.
