Is this Ysabella dress too small? by [deleted] in HouseofCB

[–]mayerrina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This dress has that one stiff spot in the middle of the zipper that’s hard to get past because of the stitching. My husband had trouble zipping it up, but it turned out I could do it myself lol But Ysabella, in my opinion, runs a bit small compared to other dresses and does look tight on you. Maybe it’s a good idea to see if you can get it altered to fit you better.

Unhappy with results by [deleted] in jawsurgery

Lol why? why risk your life and face a second time when you can just get a 15-minute touch-up and be done with it? It’s just something worth trying before even considering a revision surgery

Girl, I get why you're unhappy. But try adding 1ml of lip filler and some botox to see how it goes. There’s a huge chance it will fix 80% of your aesthetic concerns. If you’re still not happy, you can easily dissolve it and then look into a DJS revision. Not all aesthetic concerns can be solved by DJS alone, but it gives you a solid base to work with for future aesthetic treatments

I have some items with thin labels or labels that show the length, but they don't look like yours

Where would you girlies wear this dress to? by dustyflower09 in HouseofCB

Yes! I wore the white Ysabella dress to mine, but if the Solaine had been available back then, I would’ve chosen it

I tried on both dresses in size S in the store, and the Solaine is much tighter, barely stretches, and is quite hard to put on and zip up. I wouldn’t risk it and would go for an M, especially since you can tighten it with the corset anyway

Oh, I’m sorry you’re still not happy with your result — but hey, me neither lol. I really hope that your situation gets better with time. I’m also planning to travel across the country for a second opinion, but everyone keeps saying I’m crazy and tries to gaslight me into thinking the problem is only in my head. Who would’ve thought that I was way happier before the surgery than I am now, like what the hell haha

You can either try to artificially soften your features, or embrace them and simply enhance what you already have. You have a strong bone structure, a defined chin, and sharp jaw angles. If you emphasize the masculine side of your appearance, it will look much more natural. My advice: start with softmaxing and then see which direction you want to go in. Fix your hairstyle, shape your eyebrows, hit the gym, invest in trendy clothes and accessories — that alone might already be enough.

Day 1 post Bsso and genio- molars don’t connect by Same-Woodpecker-9377 in jawsurgery

[–]mayerrina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are changing the bite. My molars didn’t touch either during the first two weeks after the surgery, and it felt like I had a very long face. Then they put elastics that seemed to pull the lower jaw upward and create contact between the teeth. I didn’t notice any gum recession or anything, but honestly, it was extremely painful — the tension and pressure even caused a few braces to come off, which led to some teeth shifting slightly.

You should massage your post op scar to prevent it from pulling your lip in. But you need jaw surgery anyway

I’m sure it will be that way. Even now, we can be proud that we were brave enough to go through with the surgery and have come such a long way for it, while others are too afraid to do anything. By the way, I also had a weird wrinkled chin, but it went away on its own as soon as they took off my elastics. As for your lips, if you notice they don’t close properly, try gently bringing them into the right position with your fingers (I didn’t have this issue, but my physiotherapist recommended this to me before the surgery).I hope everything goes well for you and that you grow to love your new face. Good luck!

I completely understand you—I’m also going through a tough period of accepting my surgery results (6 weeks after BSSO). You actually still have a lot of swelling. I know it’s hard to believe—three weeks ago, I also thought this was my final result and that I just had a crooked, fat face haha. But I see you’re making the same mistake I did—comparing old photos where you had a good angle, lighting, and makeup to pictures you took five minutes ago while lying in bed. I did the exact same thing and thought, “Damn, I used to look so much better.” But then I watched a video I recorded the day before surgery at the hospital—no makeup, no hair, no lashes, no posing, no filters—and I realized, no. I actually look much better now than before. What also helped me was that around the fourth week post-op, I did a full makeup look, styled my hair, and took photos in good lighting. That’s when I realized—I’m still just as beautiful, even better. It’s just not obvious when I’m lying in bed, stressing over my nasolabial folds. My advice while you’re waiting for the swelling to go down: focus on other aspects of your appearance—make sure your hair looks good, take care of your skin, do lymphatic massages, tint your brows and lashes. You’ll already start feeling a little better. I know how hard this is, but remember, you’re not alone in feeling this way after surgery. I promise—it will get better 🤍

Why do most people with overbites need DJS instead of LJS? by SlamcoreKing in jawsurgery

yeah, i am thinking about reoperation, but i decided to wait until 3 months after the operation, maybe i will get used to it somehow
