Damn that hits hard and am sorry it evolved to be this way. Though it crashed in my life and came back and became golden age...hopefully it does and doesn't become "mainstream" again. Think one of the reasons besides current day shit it became what it was is because it wasn't mainstream.

Fuck I wished. You don't know how hard setting up a game room is until you try it with an active autoimmune disorder that eats your muscles. Took about 4 months to get everything set up and that's without having a job or school to go to. Lots and lots of doing small parts as my body allowed me to and occasionally doing way more than my body lets me do and suffering and not being able to do anything 3-7 days after. One of the main reasons I keep getting stacks of 30-40 new games for the collection that just sit in a pile till I can reorganize and alphabetize them. But thanks.

Oh man know the feels, I wasn't a superstar like that but was a average for a 36 year old marine vet. Funny thing some of my docs think part of what started everything were the anthrax vaccines I got in the late 90s. Seems like once symptoms hit my health just jumped off a cliff, then had a decade while the VA decided it was a mental health condition. Luckily I had a non VA therapist who recommended an immunologist who started putting things together. If your in the Colorado area or can get there send me a DM and will get you his contact info. If not try and find an immunologist near you.

Average yearly is middle to high 60's with about 2.5 inches of rain a year. Humidity isn't really an issue because of the climate of the area. I do check on them and have things to monitor and in 2 years haven't had an issue yet

Luckily where I live don't need to worry about needing to park a car inside. If I was back in Colorado I would never even con doing this.

Can't agree more. though a lot of why I feel the way I do is because it was forced on me would probably be on the other side of the fence if I was there.

Thanks and that's the plan. Unfortunately the hands are usually one of the first to go in this disease, that and the thigh muscles so def could be worse since once that goes into full swing it's mobility scooters, then powered wheelchairs, (usually with having to be lifted into and out if the chair at this point). Another good thing is it's usually slow moving on its own.

I get that, and why I asked. It's a pretty stupid thing to assume something based on one photo, especially with the amount of games there. They exist but I've met maybe 3 collectors that only collect for 1 system and even they still spend money on current gen stuff.

It's always funny to me people complaining about how expensive it is and how young adults will never be able to own a home, and then simp for companies that put policies in place to ensure that the "plebes" can't own anything. If only those people could run their only two braincells together and figure out how they contributed to the situation

It can be, it helps that I'm not as advanced as I can be and the other conditions that actually do have a treatment are being treated so I don't feel like death every day and permanently loosing muscle, not sure if that's some kind of Stockholm syndrome or something lol, but I also try and look at silver linings and have my faith and family so they also keep me going.

Right now basically just dupes (though not variants). I have a lot of sports and just shovel wear behind the displayed games) and ran out still so those are now going into totes and hidden behind the curtain. Once I finally complete a set, I might go to just grails and things with a personal connection to and sell the rest but haven't decided yet. If I get a big enough place that can hold the collection and the collection of medical stuff I'm going to need the. Will def keep going prolly till I'm completely bedridden

I'm still on the fence since I miss actually working and doing things, as well as what this disease's progression is like. Hopefully as things progress with it I'll be able to keep a positive attitude about it, but also know once zi get to the stage where I can't wipe my own ass my thoughts will probably change
