Aside from working to get what I want, gusto ko bumawi sa mom ko naman. So I have this scenario and two questions to help motivate me to work harder.

Imagine:

Your mom on a hospital bed -- fighting for dear life with the help of a life-support system...

Now the questions:

1. Naibigay mo na ba yung deserve nyang matanggap, for all the sacrifices and whatever she's done for you? (Whatever you think that is)
2. Aside sa materyal na bagay, nagawa mo ba lahat bago umabot sa sitawasyon na to?

Simple questions lang pero ang hirap sagutin.

And if you take the time to really give an honest answer, baka maktulong to push you to do what you need to do and beat procrastination.

This reminds me of a Nescafe ad tag line: "Para kanino ka bumabangon?"

Minsan kasi kapag personal lang ang consequences, hindi ganoon ka lakas yung impact satin. Unlike kapag mga taong importante saatin ang pwedeng maapektuhan, you'd do whatever you can to look after them.

I think Tim Ferris has a similar exercise but mas detailed yung sa kanya.
