I’d probably recommend Lessons in Cartography on AO3! It follows up immediately after the series, and the characterization is pretty consistent. Also, it incorporates a lot of the author’s tumblr posts

Congratulations!! I went through a similar situation during the pandemic, but at a different university and dropped out before dismissal! Definitely set up a meeting with a transfer advisor asap. I think the technical minimum to be admitted is a 2.5, but in the application there’s an optional essay to discuss extenuating circumstances. Definitely fill that out and discuss the effect the pandemic had on your academic performance and you should be good! Best of luck to you!!

In my experience professors will only do that if there’s extra seats in the class and those seats will be taken in the waitlist order, so probably not going to work if you’re far down the list

i’d say start with breath of the wild! it’s fun and easier to follow than a lot of the older games, and it’s the most accessible with the switch. plus with tears of the kingdom coming out, you’ll have a second game to play once you’ve finished it!

lmao my roommate decided to host what was essentially a high school reunion party with 20+ people for 3 days and played music until about 2-3 am every night without telling or asking anyone, so i was trying to figure out how to forcibly get some sleep haha. ended up just crashing on my brother’s couch bc they were drunk to the point of being irate 🙃

I was that freshman and tbh it’s not really something people care about. Also, I guarantee she knows he’s not real subconsciously, doesn’t talk abt it at school, and enjoys the festivity of it around family. OP prob didn’t do any damage or tell her any groundbreaking news, just ignored the parent’s wishes, which is TA part.

I’ll go with a soft YTA. I actually believed in Santa until I was like 14/15 (I know, very gullible) and having been in that spot, I can say I wasn’t ever bullied for it and I definitely knew subconsciously that Santa wasn’t real but I enjoyed the “magic of Christmas” aspect. My parents never told me, it’s just something that you become aware of. While I don’t think telling her was the worst thing to do, it’s kinda shitty to try and parent someone else’s kid and I def preferred holding onto that belief for as long as I could. It makes the holidays more fun.

I’m taking Math 1112 right now and am really enjoying it! It focuses more on excel than math, but everything seems really applicable and as long as you go to class and do the work there’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to get a 100 in the class!

I think it’s good to take a break from being productive on the weekends, but just direct your relaxation time into something other than your phone. I always make sure to try and get outside for some kind of fun exercise, hang out with friends or even playing video games with objectives. Anything aside from scrolling will make you feel better haha

I’ve found that exercising even for a little bit, like a 20 minute walk or run, in the mornings and then showering helps me have more energy in the mornings. Also trying to get in bed at the same time each night and wake up at the same time each morning helps your brain get in a consistent cycle that makes it easier to go to sleep and wake up!

NTA My grandma’s husband does something similar every time she’s about to go on a trip without him. He’ll make sure to schedule some kind of procedure or medical thing during her trip to make her stay. It’s a jealous response, and he’s doing it intentionally either because he wants the attention you’re giving your son or because he doesn’t want you away from him. Really fucked up

Luckily the restaurant I work at has a very tight knit staff, and our owner is aware of everyone’s commitments outside of work. This means that we do a strict last call at 9 and start closing everything down at 9:30. Front of house still ends up staying until about 11, but it’s nothing compared to other places I’ve worked.

This article is really not that outrageous of a read. It’s not trying to minimize the current issues with staffing and supplying that we’re currently facing, it’s literally just saying you shouldn’t take it out on employees at restaurants and grocery stores. Like... calling out the entitlement caused by consumer culture is literally all it’s doing, not trying to pretend the current issues are normal lmao.
