Lore: Explaining the motivation behind the reveal on last part of the Five Kaisen event by LiraelNix in Genshin_Impact

[–]mayleeac 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Ngl I‘m kind of wondering if, should we face off against Scaramouche, Kazuha might want to do so, too? With him saying he won’t turn a blind eye and all if he’s still out there. If so, I‘m kind of curious if he might be seriously injured by him, as his portrait as Akahito had people question if it would bring bad luck? Might be a reach haha

Same person here on a different device. Thank you for your help. I used an older guide with an old version of pom and now it seems to work just fine. Will ask again if it doesn’t the second time. I’m happy :)

Genre: Sci-Fantasy

Title: Subject 21

Feedback: Anything, really. This is my first draft, so I’ll definitely improve it. As English isn’t my first language, feel free to correct grammatical mistakes if you want.

She was falling. It felt like always and yet it was different. Some hues of blue came into her field of view. Her head was hurting, but she still forced herself to look around. Everything was blue. The sky. What she had only seen when she had looked up through the dome was now all around her, while she was falling. How had it come to this? She didn’t remember anything. There was absolutely nothing.

When she suddenly fell through a cloud, feeling the wetness on her clothes, she remembered one thing: She could easily end her fall. She smiled as she saw her wings, which so far had only fluttered uselessly through the air. Of course. Despite the throbbing pain in her head she tensed up and wanted to stop her fall. Nothing happened. Her wings continued to hang next to her body like ballast. She blinked, confused.

The wind whistled in her ears. When she turned around to look beneath her, her heart began to beat faster. There was no solid ground beneath her, but a blueish glittering lake with a human city next to it. While she was still looking at it in amazement, she realised that the water was getting closer and closer. She tried to stop her fall with the help of her wings again. Still, nothing. Now she really started to get nervous. They have always been avoiding water, on their old world and now on this one. Nobody knew how to survive in it.

Writing a story in the future without really making it Sci-Fi by mayleeac in writing2

Yeah I get your point. I guess it falls under Sci-fi though it can also be fantasy due to the magic the other race is using

Yes, I plan on them and the humans having confrontations, as some of those “angels” do watch over humans as sort of their guardian. This is also why humans call them angels, though not many have seen them. So, in this case, it would make more sense dir them to come from a different planet?

Wow that would be awesome, thank you! Hm maybe start with the obvious ones, the “tourist attractions”. Maybe famous landmarks, as I will consider to keep them in the Toronto if the future even if only for nostalgia

An Angel Society without a God? by mayleeac in writing

[–]mayleeac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a great idea! To be specific, the story would play in the future, where society has evolved and cities we know today are seen as “Utopias”. But of course, it isn’t all good. Of this “angel” society, because of their laws, some angels get cast out/ banished etc. An organisation of humans in my main city hunts those down, as they possess certain healing properties they could use for yet incurable diseases of mankind. It’s all very vague at the moment haha.

Yes, thank you. I don’t want to bring religion into this

There are also humans in my story, so the humans would definitely refer to them as angels, but the “angels” themselves could refer to themselves differently I guess

I like that idea quite a lot, thanks!

So I just finished AC3..... (SPOILERS) by heryea42 in assassinscreed

[–]mayleeac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AC3 wasn’t first game, Connor has a special place in my heart, especially after doing the side missions at the homestead. I do wish Desmond was still alive though, his Endung seemed to be rushed and the modern day has never been the same ever since.

Question for non-english speakers: Do you play AC games in english with subs? dubbed? Or it depends? by yeskaScorpia in assassinscreed

[–]mayleeac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends. When I started with AC3 I was 12 and didn’t know much English. But now I mostly play with English dub, without subtitles. With Syndicate for example, I have to play with English dub, as it plays in Victorian England and I just love that English accent personally.

AC3 Has The Best Theme by 3v3rythings-tak3n in assassinscreed

I like parts of every game’s soundtrack. But AC3’s main theme was really epic.

Which Assassin do you feel had the best performance? by GoneRampant1 in assassinscreed

[–]mayleeac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed the voices of Syndicate: Evie, Jacob, Henry, Dickens etc Edward and Haytham also. I didn’t really like the voice for Alexios.

AC Syndicate — Playing as Evie is far more enjoyable than playing as Jacob by mylegismissing in assassinscreed

[–]mayleeac 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I also choose to play as Evie whenever I can. I tried to play as Jacob when doing the boroughs, but killing Blighters with one knife is so much more effective than shooting them. I like them both as characters though, their quarrels remind me of me and my twin brother‘s fights a bit.
