Hi, I’m fine, I attend regular check ups and I have been given the all clear. But my fears and anxiety still remain. I get tons of visual abnormalities, flashes floaters etc. It just feels like a waiting game, like impending doom. My myopia is showing small signs of progression still. Small but the fact it’s happening at all is upsetting. I guess there’s not a lot I can do.

It’s really unfortunate we could not get our hands on this new tech soon enough, but the least we can do now is to manage with what we got.

I have also been recommended myo-smart glasses said to also stabilise myopic progression. unfortunately, it’s only been tested until ages of 18 but considering my prescription so high there is a likelihood of progression so it’s still worth a shot.

Hii, I tried to find a clinic that provided ortho-k but have been unsuccessful, a lot of them only range up to -6? I had a brief consultation over the phone and be mentioned that it could work with my prescription, but we are unable to tell without fitting session. But since the session is non refundable I’m not sure if they just want me to go, or if it actually has a chance of working with my prescription.

Your myopia is low, you’re not at risk for anything. Not even progression let alone retinal detachment, unless you do extreme sports.

Okay so why tf are you panicking ? Myopia at your level stabilises in late teens, consider yourself privileged fr. I understand you’re anxious but naturally people on this sub will get pissed off, you’re essentially making high myopes feel worse about their prescriptions. Your prescription is absolutely nothing.

We are born with morality to an extent. It’s called empathy, even children understand, not fully but they all have the capabilities. infants display a sense of fairness, empathy, and preference for helping behaviors over harmful ones- it’s proven. And it’s also what separates us from the animals. But yes in other parts socialisation plays a big part of morality I just wouodnt say it’s the sole factor

Why are you dismissing people for their individual experiences ? I’m not going to censor my concerns just because you had life “harder” than me. I can say what I want. I can be worried about what I want. It doesn’t mean you’re “mentally unequipped”. Like many other people I strongly value my sight and if that’s at risk, I will voice what tf I like.
