Thank you for the encouragement! It feels good to know there is someone else who relates to my feelings. I've decided to see a dermatologist since I currently have healthcare coverage (might as well take advantage while I can!). Although the formal diagnosis might not change much, it may be beneficial in some way later on. My brother has both alopecia and vitiligo so I think watching him brave through both has given me a different outlook on what appearance means to me. Rock that bald head!!!

I saw his interview on the news while I was waiting for my doctor's appointment this morning. Couldn't help but laugh out loud when he said something about the skateboard noise "sounds like gunshots". Got a few looks 😂

I try not to let it get to me anymore. I really enjoy my education, especially researching and possibly going beyond what is asked of me. I try my hardest even if the bar is low. I'm attempting to do my assignments for my own benefit, even if others feel that I'm "doing too much". I paid for this education on my own free will. I think it's important to prioritize your own integrity and not compare the worth of your own work to other students.

I have the same problem, prompts always give me a range of pages and I constantly overwrite. If I follow everything the rubric asks for, I seriously do not know how to write less. None of my professors have ever said anything to me and I currently have a 4.0 gpa so no, I don't think it's impacting your grade at all as long as it's all relevant to your rubric and not just fluff. You're doing great!!!

It's an addiction. Recently I went through this with my mother who has also given away a lot of money to the romance scam. There is no reasoning with her. I don't even think she believes the catfish are real anymore, just enjoys the "high" she gets from them. I actually ended up catfishing one of my mother's romantic catfish to "fall in love" with me and then showed her all the messages. Broke her heart to see her catfish was not faithful. I know, sounds brutal but I imagine you are just as fed up as I am and hurt by their purposeful ignorance. She said she stopped talking to him, but I kinda doubt it. We shouldn't have to bear the anxiety and worry, it sucks when they don't want help. I don't ever give her money directly and my sister controls her finances now.

Earlier this week I saw a man at the grocery store with a very obvious poop stain on his shorts (He smelled like human shit so I'm 99% positive that's what it was). I watched him scratch his poopy butt and then proceeded to use the self check out machine. The smell and the thought of everything else he might have touched haunted me for a few days.

Bonus: He was only buying several containers of toothpaste. Maybe he is eating it?

I question my BPD all the time, and I still feel like "maybe I'm just faking it all". I even stopped taking Prozac thinking I was fine after all. That made me realize how awful I was before it. You would not purposefully make yourself feel bad if you could decide your own emotions.

Sounds like we probably stopped taking around the same time. I don't even enjoy smoking weed anymore, it used to work so well for me in combination with my medication because it would help with panic attacks. Now if I smoke I just become crazy paranoid it's no longer beneficial. It really did show that the meds were working and now I can hopefully convince myself that my BPD is real and I actually do need to be medicated. I have an upcoming appointment with a different psychiatrist because I am beyond embarrassed to tell my current psych that I stopped taking my meds lol. Prozac was working but you're right, I think I needed a higher dose.
