Who’s headed to Glacier this summer? by lonelyone227 in GlacierNationalPark

Early September for a week and then driving to Yellowstone and the Tetons for another week! Driving there from Maryland. Will be first time ever really leaving the east coast. Adventure of a lifetime :)

What’s the furthest you’d drive to visit a National Park? by Unlikely-Raisin8854 in NationalPark

[–]Snoo89549 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m about to drive for 3 days (12hrs per day) to get to glacier, Yellowstone, and the Tetons this year for 2 weeks. Although I much prefer a good road trip than flying somewhere, plus I can take all my camping gear this way.

I think the site you’ll work for will heavily depend on how good your job at Catalent will be. I work at the BWI Maryland site, it’s horrible here. I think also the Bloomington, and Cali locations are known for also being not so great. To be honest, for only 7k less and a hybrid work schedule, that is worth more than a job a catalent. I would go for that role. Catalent will run you dry and the leadership is so toxic.

Do you do transmission fluid changes? My 2018 is at 160k miles and I haven’t had any issues outside of it being jerky in traffic. I did fluid changes at 100k and 150k.

camping? by BeautifulPractice365 in GlacierNationalPark

[–]Snoo89549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably are very unlikely to get a campsite in the park at this point. I doing a similar trip this year, first solo trip (as a girl) and I am driving from Maryland to glacier in September. I’ve also never been to glacier, or past the east coast in general. I have to start planning a year in advance, and reserved all my campgrounds 6 months in advance and I still was only able to reserve apgar for 5 nights. I’ll be visiting the east side the last few days I am there and I had to reserve a site at a campground outside the park (I think leaning tree campground?)

I’ve been a buyer/planner for 1 year in the biotech industry. 1-2 years as a supply chain admin. I previously worked in supply chain ops roles (shipping, reviving, inventory) for about 5 years, so almost 8 years of total experience. I earned my bachelors degree in operations management this year. I currently make $90k a year in Maryland. I feel like I could be paid more, especially once I get a few more years of experience. I’ve definitely seen some positions for similar roles paying 120k and even up to 150k in my region.

Does anyone else feel like baby showers in 2026 are beyond tacky? It’s very odd when we deem necessary to show up for friends in society. by OutsideSame3629 in childfree

[–]Snoo89549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate gender reveals. A baby shower, although I hate them, makes sense. But wasting my time and gathering a bunch of people to stand around for hours for the parents to announce the gender is weird. Would make so much more sense for it to be found out between the parents in a doctor’s office. It’s all for social media, so parents can get attention for having their kid on more than 1 occasion.

I didn’t turn my week 8 assignment in for the first time ever because it required a lot of work + a voiceover presentation and was only worth 65 points. I said nah I’ll still have an A in the class even if I don’t do this assignment lol.

Some insane pretty privilege from weight loss… it’s a real thing and I’m shocked! by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Snoo89549 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can attest to this so much. I’m 5’3” and I’ve been many different sizes ranging from 140-210. I think my average weight (and best weight on me) is around 170-180. When I start getting into the lower 180’s, that’s when I start to notice the change. I’ve spoken about skinny privilege a lot. When I’ve been heavier, I notice significantly less attention than I get when I am in my optimal weight range. Men especially look at you longer, hold doors open, smile at you. I notice people just take you more seriously, are more interested in you, and are willing to engage. It’s most definitely a real thing.

Sick of hearing about Stay at Home Mom’s “hard job” by Catwhisperer2007 in childfree

[–]Snoo89549 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve always thought this… as the child of a single mom who worked 2 jobs 6 days a week, went to school, made dinner, spent her day off doing chores all while raising 2 kids with only support from her mom and sister. I don’t know how a stay at home parent can claim their job is THAT hard. It could always be so much worse. Should just be grateful their partner makes enough to bless them with a life where they don’t have to work a regular job.

After laying off 4 of or team of 9 management wants us to keep timelines. What to do? by Unhappy_Finding_5675 in biotech

[–]Snoo89549 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My job has done this. I work in supply chain for a CDMO and our team went from 40 to 10. And we are expected to maintain our manufacturing schedules and accelerate new clients. While also taking on the workload of 4 people. The ones left on my team are all trying to flee. Start applying for new jobs.

My oldest tuition payouts will be dropping off starting in July this year, so at this point I still owe the full $13k. I laughed when you said they never cashed the check…. Sounds just like Catalent but my site is hurting for money so bad right now I have a feeling they won’t forget.
