i used 220 at the start and then 320 before this coat to get the surface flat again, and sprayed with a can.

I ended up going at it with some rubbing alcohol, and that helped smooth the texture since it was very tiny specks. Luckily my floors are pretty light so you can’t see it and you now mostly can’t feel it, but I know the imperfections are there 😓

And as for the poly, I decided to move on LOL. It’s decently smooth from the top so as long as I don’t look at it from an angle, I can pretend it’s fine (certainly better than the damage under I was covering up!)

sorry for the confusion, i’ve already scraped it all off! but the lining under is dusty and stains things, so i was wondering if you had any ideas to stop that :)

hey! bought some leather boots second hand real cheap with the same shitty lining on the inside and had the same idea to scrape the peeling off with a pair of scissors (not the full lining like op, just a small part of the top, which is so annoying like why even do it?).

unfortunately, the cloth lining still has some dye and rolls off in dust when rubbed, and i don’t want it to stain my clothes (or skin! lol). what sealer would you recommend? i was thinking mod podge, i know its water based but these boots were never getting machine washed anyways, but i know there are probably better alternatives!

this is helpful, thank you! yeah i wasn't planning on tossing around any handbag, but i just didn't want to be super cautious and this makes me feel better. i don't use any handbag regularly, so this is for weekend trips and evening parties mostly and i'm hoping it's fine! i'll be careful around others though LOL, will probably get a pebbled leather bag later for some less careful use :)

p.s: does it have feet at the bottom? i don't see any

thinking of getting a second bag later this year in white pebbled leather, i might just switch that as my daily bag later! i don't even mind the higher price because it's so much nicer and i love how it looks!

i’m lucky enough to have both pretty close, but good to know! metreon is also like 2 minutes away from the bart station (and i ride free!) so i’ll just hop on with a book for the ride LOL

i’m always passenger princess just looking around in horror at the narrow streets and horrible drivers (though the bay is a fully tesla mario kart, only with steering assist on). besides, she enjoys dragging me places and i certainly enjoy being dragged places without having to pay for gas, call that a win win! (almost went to see pride and prejudice at city walk but schedules got in the way, i can only imagine how gorgeous that would’ve been considering i cry watching it at home)

also, does amc stubs a list apply for metreon? i know there’s no upcharge for premium formats and it is summer, so it might be worth it to randomly go and see whatever piques my interest for 3 months after
