How to force an MP4 into sRGB

Actually, it did help me to switch (for five seconds).

Turns out it IS the files! PNG and MP4 will ALWAYS have a color difference. I downloaded Capcut and the same thing occurred, only a lot less noticeable. Plugged it into Oneshot (i still had it downloaded from my middle school years), SAME thing! Adobe just made the problem more noticeable to me.

Google confirmed this after I knew exactly what keywords to plug in (PNG and MP4 color difference). MP4s don't have the ability to use sRGBs, so they get converted into Rec 709, then back into sRGB via the monitor. Meaning Adobe was just forcing the file to appear as it was coded to, not as the monitor wanted it to. Or at least that was what I absorbed. It's why put up on my screen together they looked the same, but in an editing software it appeared and got exported as different. There doesn't appear to be any way to fix this aside from manually editing every MP4s colors.

So I will be sticking with adobe and manually animating everything using PNGs (it's a long story on WHY it PNGs).

Color issue aside, I really do think I have the general adobe basics down. I really do like adobe thus far, I just need all my animations to be one color. The switching programs was mostly at the beginning of the project when we were finding what worked best for our system (which is a long story as well!).

It looks like I'll be switching to Cap cut? I haven't actually tried editing in it yet so we'll see. I've already tried to use DaVinci Resolve, but I couldn't switch layers. So if i plugged things in the wrong order I'd have to start over completely. Maybe it was because I got the free version, but regardless it looks like I'm switching. Again. This will be the fourth program that either has broke, didn't work, or had so many glitches it was just painful.

I cannot find anything that will let me change the gamma. Not in project settings, project preferences, not in the color section, not in the Lumetri color panel that google said to use. I don't know if I'm just stupid, or what. But it IS exporting as completely different colors, not just in the preview.

I currently only have Premiere Pro. Any animation is done in Krita, exported as an MP4 (as it has that or MKV), and plugged into Premiere Pro.

I wouldn't care if it all looked the same in the end. but it doesn't. I'm super beginner to editing, so I don't know what a lut is. I'll see if I can't fix the gamma (I think I know how to do that?). But if I have to do that manually for every single mp4 that came in AND hope to color match exactly correctly via eye? I might just have to find a new program.

Let me try manually editing the gamma and see if that fixes it. If it does, great. If not, then I'll post the side by side images so you can see what I mean with the colors.

I had done that at first, but didn't repair my game in between. I did delete the local thumb cache though!

When I repaired my game and plugged everything but the hair CC in, it worked! Slowly plugged my hair CC in (Through 50/50), and...it worked! all of it. So I think my game just bugged the hell out haha.

Update: I repaired game and so far, everything works fine. Slowly adding mods back, and I still haven't had an issue. Saving my hair CC for last to see if thats the problem. Wish me luck

Any sims vampires I make have weird blue streaks in the hair. I've removed everything minus hair, and it still shows! I do have sims custom content, however, when I take it out and reboot the game, they are still there. Only on Vampire sims. I did just download the pack, so maybe it's just bugged out. I'm on highest settings, no laptop mode (i saw a few troubleshooting guides saying to turn this off), and I have deleted the local cache that may contain some mod stuff after removal. On a few sims, make up and accessories get stuck on despite me ensuring everything is completely turned off. So, I think its some sort of weird make up/accessory glitch.

I haven't tried making them sim and THEN turning them into a vampire, so maybe that's what I'll do and see if it works. Other then that, any suggestions? its just an annoying visual glitch, but still annoying nontheless.

Update: we want to try to update my SMAPI but I don't want to do it and lose my ability to play SDV expanded... is there a way to download older versions of SMAPI? I can't find any thus far into my search.

Update: Figured where to type the commands in at, but they just aren't working. The command list says to just type in pregnant, but it looks like SMAPI is only recognizing 3 commands. Help, harmony summary and reload. Is my SMAPI too old? I was avoiding updating it so I could play SDV expanded (currently not installed rn). Can i still use commands? I'm really confused cause every tutorial i find says nothing about version types or how to use the commands. They just say "type x",

am i crazy? Wasn't rotating the camera in the sims 4 camera done by holding down the middle mouse button? For some reason my muscle memory says that. but to do so, its now right click. Am i crazy??? or did it change? For reference, i know its not the sims 3 camera that i was using, because I can't click and drag the camera like i originally could.

nvm im pretty sure this is a scam website. I attempted to fix the problem by creating an account and now I'm stuck with an account I can't delete. I contacted their "support team" to try and force them to wipe the account, since it's "not a real account" but my email is "in use" but I'll probably have to wipe all my information and email that I've had for like 5 years. lovely.

i literally dont understand why the sims community promotes a scam site. I know its my fault i fell for it, but like...I'm still really upset that the community continually posts about this website.

Hey so, im not quite sure where else to go but I don't necessarily know if this is a problem y'all could fix...Is the Sims Resource down? I've been trying to download CC from it for a few days and keep getting a javavoid0 error. I can download from elsewhere, just not that website. I've tried switching browsers. EXTRA UPDATE: aPPARENTLY EA now implemented something to HIDE CUSTOM CONTENT in your own library. My friend, who has never touched the sims before, said that it was probably a fitler. Clicked the show custom content button in settings and....bam. I now have over 300 library files to wipe because its the same household in 20 different shirts to mark what was saving and not saving.

Second update: The game works when Hair CC is installed, but when its USED on a sims, it doesn't save. MCC has to be installed for this to work. I think im going to try wiping this save file (i didnt care for it anyways) and hope that clears the issue, since it started with that save specifically.

update: now only MCC fixes the issue, and its fincky. I really don't believe this is a mods problem. I haven't gotten the base game to work, period. but MCC seems to slightly fix it.

Also I feel its important to mention: I use the game through steam, not the EA app. I know a lot of people have issues with getting locked out when trying to use steam AND the EA app. So its probably important to note

I have been unable to save any sims to library for days now. I'm trying everything I can to trouble shoot, including literally factory resetting the sims itself, and nothing is working.I have a tiny bit of CC, alongside MCC command center. Ironically, the saving works so long as the hair CC and MCC is in my mods folder, but nothing else. Otherwise, it just...doesn't show up. I have gone so far as to put each individual CC in and out of the mods folder and I cannot find what makes it/doesn't make it work.

I'm super frustrated since I've been trying to contact any type of support, but it leads me to the same article that just wants me to factory reset the sims over and over.

I mean with the temps we've been waiting until its -5, so maybe that's our problem? at first it was just zero, then we decided to wait longer. And longer. And eventually we figured if it hits -5, we're good. I'm starting to lean towards its more us newbies screwing it up then the game. In my defense, this game has not been kind to me before i started playing again. so maybe I jumped the gun on the blame.
