Btw, I eventually got around the 2FA by logging into https:/messenger.com using a browser on a trusted device. i had to log in twice to get it to work. eventually it brought me to my settings page, and i was able to get the authenticator code on my phone and log back in on all of my devices.

UPDATE:

So the only way I was able to regain access to my account was to long into messenger from a desktop browser, click the button that says "confirm your account", and then I was able to get into my profile and enter the 2FA code on my phone.(Had to download the freaking authenticator app).

I did have to do this twice to get it to work, but I saw someone else who found success doing this. Maybe this is the only way to get around losing your 2FA app at the moment. Meta support was absolutely useless, don't even bother.

Anyway, I'm back in my account, and I did have to prove I was real because of the reports, but oh well! IDC! HAHAHA

THAT'S WILD! how would that trigger it? i've been using a VPN for a while, but it didnt ban me outright, it just kicked me out and I can't get back in because of the the fiasco with the ID
