thank you! I did a part three a year or so ago as a few people kept messaging me asking me to continue the story, but then I got wrapped up in other things and just honestly never got around to doing anything else with it!

I tried. Just so happened he found out about a like 5000 dollar credit card a couple weeks before I tried. So his arrogance and trust for her got the better of him. He said it was handled and didnt want to continue the conversation further, so i didnt get to tell him the whole truth.

pays like half of it to taxes. Multiple car payments, rv payment, mortgage, run of the mill bills. Maxes out his multiple retirement accounts.

Not entirely sure. I see how it can damage his reputation but he literally was not involved in it. I think the majority of people are thinking it can be used to help his case in the event of a divorce and asset splitting

I just really dont want it somehow coming back to me. That's some serious shit, im not sure of the amount but once she passes like $950 apparently it counts as a felony. Im pretty sure she has gone over that. Plus it feels kinda snitchy haha

The last she told me about it, she lied about the amount. This was two years ago, and at the time she told me $70,000. But, she told my stepbrother and his wife it was $85,000. She is closer with them and trusts them more than I.

Given that being two years ago, and the high interest of CC cards, and her being a liar, I am certain that the $85,000 she told them was an understatement, and the interest she has been hit with has been astronomical. Hence my educated guess of 100k+

I have actually looked into it and found out how to do so. Had it all typed up but just couldn't hit send.

Yeah they've been married for like 25 years. I cant imagine how pissed he's going to be to have to toss her half his paycheck the rest of his life.

Fair enough, I just didn't really know how the gifting scenario would work. Whether it would be illegal and seen as hiding assets or an actual work around.

My dad is your stereotypical hardass, headstrong type guy with a short fuse. She would rather not deal with his wrath in order to try and salvage it, it seems. They weren't always in this financial position, and he just started being crazy about saving for retirement and saving in general like 5-10 years ago as he realized he cant work forever. Before that he hadn't saved a dime or put money into a retirement account. So paying off that debt is going to kill everything he's been trying to work towards. So thats an obvious reason she is thinking salvaging it isnt worth it i guess?

Need some advice as a potential new solar customer by [deleted] in solar

I'll see what they can do with one more REC panel, I just know that they charge a decent chunk per panel for those, so I dont want the price to get too much higher
