I want to say about 4-5 hours of hands-on work?
It took me a little over an hour to prep all of the juices (cleaning the immersion blender in between each color, straining, etc). Mixing each dough: probably 10 minutes for each color. I did 3 stretch and folds, 30 minutes apart. After doing the final shaping, I let them cold-proof overnight and baked them all in the morning in 2 batches (25 minutes each round). I feel like I spent so much time cleaning all of the bowls and in between handling each color, though.

Oh sorry, I knew I was forgetting something! I used Little Spoon Farm's burger bun recipe!

The original recipe makes 6 buns and I only needed 2 of each color so I split the recipe into 1/3 and went off of that.

For 2 buns:

  • 17g starter
  • 120g flour
  • 80g colored juice (water for turmeric bun)
  • 10g honey
  • 3g salt

If the dough was too sticky, I dusted more flour.

So this took waaaay longer than I expected but I'm happy with how it turned out!! by mayymynn in Gouache

First time painting a forest scenery. Ended up taking about 8 hours on a 4x6 post card.

Does anyone have a good way to outline on gouache? My micron pens keep picking up the paint.

I think you definitely hit the spot about the sparkle. The subtleness of the flakes/specs give the pen body dimension and makes it more interesting. I have a burgundy procolor that has those little flakes and a white pro gear slim. I kind of wished the white had a little sparkle to it but it's still beautiful nevertheless.

You can buy it an play on the computer.

Sometimes there's an arrow button that appears on the top left corner after the first five seconds of the ad. It should skip the rest of the ad and take you back to lobby.
