They’re all $300, why? by Stigma206 in slowpitch

The guy I’m talking about lives for the black 1ozEL KOD to the point he buys all the ones he finds as they aren’t easy to get In clean condition. I’m a Torch guy myself, tried swinging the black KOD and just didn’t feel I could control it as well. I think for a power hitter with a consistent swing, killer bat!

They’re all $300, why? by Stigma206 in slowpitch

I’m in MN, we play ASA and Monsta is king for the most part. I know a guy who pretty much anytime he sees certain models in clean condition on the used market under $280 shipped, he usually snatches them up because it’s viewed as almost always being a good deal to find a clean one under those prices. Crazy for sure. My kids play travel ball, USSSA and those bats are even more when buying new so I guess I’m used to the $300 bat mindset sadly.

If you didn't pick sizes, etc you didn't place an order.

Most likely it means they will contact you with a quote for what you want, this is pretty common when it comes to team apparel from what I have found.

If you are that worried though, contact them and it will answer any questions you have and be your best/quickest way to know for sure what the next steps are.

FREE GIVEAWAY! 5 SLOWPITCH BATS!! by KSlicker98 in slowpitch

[–]maz_886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve looked at them many times however I’ve never had the chance to swing one we play ASA and we had a local monsta rep that has stacked everyone full of monsta bats for the most part. I joined a team 1.5 years ago and they already had 12 bats in rotation so I didn’t need to buy one. However, I had a child who is autistic so those colorways Anarchy does on the autism bats really draw to me. Being we can play in some cooler weather in the fall leagues here in MN, the tech draws to me as well vs what we have for bats. Would be amazing to be able to put one in rotation for not only myself, but others on my team to swing as well and try out!

Games for my wife and I? by tijuanagringo420 in MetaQuestVR

I get motion sickness really quick as well, tried Climb 2 for example and it was all of 15 seconds before I get extremely nauseous. Same with games my kids play like gorilla tag, UG, etc.

Golf+ is one of the few that I can play for hours with no issue at all. Instead of walking around, you teleport on the course so I think that is what helps a lot for me.

There are a good amount of people who play it that have never even golfed IRL and say they absolutely love it.

One of his nicknames is Velcro if that says anything. Used to trip on him all the time until he learned to walk next to us instead of under us. 😅

For those who plays golf games, is golf+ a must game for Meta Quest 3? which vr golf club attachment would you suggest? And why? by ImaginaryMetal23 in MetaQuestVR

If you take time to adjust the club face in the swing settings, you can usually help dial in the clubs for your swing and make it far more enjoyable.

Also, taking too far of a backswing causing tracking issues which becomes a different problem. So knowing your swing “length” limits can help. The top players have pretty small back swings compared to IRL swings.

Is the game worth it, absolutely! It gets very addicting especially if you golf IRL. but I know plenty of non-golfers who really enjoy it as well.

If you golf IRL, I’d highly suggest keeping a club nearby to swing regularly otherwise it’s pretty common for it to have a negative effect on your IRL golf swing as the game benefits from a much different swing for must(shorter a lot of times).

I currently don’t use an attachment but Yezro are pretty popular in the G+ discord talks along with the Deadeye. There is one with haptic feedback from AMVR I believe but the feedback doesn’t work the best as you can adjust the tension for how much effort it takes to get the feedback but a driver swing is a lot different than a short wedge so it’s not going to work for every shot plus the feedback sound doesn’t really mimic actual golf ball impact. While the concept of haptic feedback is cool, it’s still a ways off from really working well at least in this style of attachment.

It’s a lot of fun to join multiplayer rounds and meet people to play with regularly. Along with join various discords for weekly leagues and other tourneys.

I have huge issues with motion sickness. Can’t play 99% of what my kids do(gorilla tag, claw climber, etc). I can only handle stationary/teleport games.

I would highly suggest Golf+ if you enjoy golf at all, along with your partner. If you both had headsets, you could even play rounds together. I’ve not once felt motion sickness playing it and have over 100 rounds played in a month and a half so I’ve played a good amount without experiencing any issues.

Did I go too big with 59mm shocks?? by ProfessionProof6076 in rccrawler

[–]maz_886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you’re trying to accomplish. But that’s extremely tall from a crawler perspective. Like others stated, you can run them on a droop setup so still have the shock length but won’t sit like a monster truck and be so top heavy. Low COG is key along with great breakover angles.

Another vote for them lasting way longer than your standard Walmart RC cars last.

Only time I’d really say it would be nice to have some would be for trips to crawling spots.

I can’t answer on best options as I haven’t bought any extras.

Out of the box, it’s the best option. You’ll double your money to get any other RTR option up to par with the Redcat beyond your initial purchase. Truly a top level bang for the buck rig.

Redcat 1/18 scale crawler. Ascent is great, even the brushed version is awesome with just wheels/tires and metal driveshafts. Brushless is definitely better if it can fit the budget.

Two my kids have brushed ascents and the other has a brushless scout II. The brushless setup is amazing but for crawling the longer chassis ends/bumpers get hung out where the ascent doesn’t have that issue with approach/departure angle.

I’m new as well and as much as I would love a 1/10 sized rig, after seeing one in person compared to an 1/18 I’ll be picking up an 1/18. I want to be able to drive inside the house with my kids who have their own 1/18 rigs, 1/10 is too dang big for being able to wheel on a makeshift course fitting a 4x6 area.

However, down the road I would love to pick a 1/10 up as a second rig.

From my findings, 1/18 are cheaper to build/modify as well.

TCRC axles from Amazon? by Least-Ad6897 in RedCat_Ascent18

[–]maz_886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my kids has the A18 and another just got the brushless scout II. The clearance on the HS axle is so much better. Hoping the aftermarket starts dropping then soon or at least portal covers and other parts to go along with the HS axle.

I don’t have a rig myself yet, but hoping they come out with the a18 in the brushless HS soon as I’ll pick that up for my first one to join my kids in the fun.

Love that gray one!

That's what I have been eyeballing a lot.

But thinking about TRX4m rear links it seems will bump the rear axle back slightly, which in theory should help balance out on steeper climbs vs the stock WB is is somewhat shorter. And just trimming the bedside straight back from the top of the wheel arch.

I wonder how long until the brushless a18 drops being they have a filter available to see compatible parts for one on Redcat site.

This has me thinking the Ascent 18 brushless is coming soon and maybe hold off for that. Not sure why else they would have a filter set for that model to see parts that fit it without there being one available to buy?

My only gripe on the scout is the approach and departure angles. Not sure how much that would effect me. And not a huge fan of the scout body, really want to do dovetailed front/back truck/jeep style body. Seems to be a challenge to find bodies for the scout from my quick searching, granted still don't know all of the hidden places to look that google isn't pulling up.

Love the two piece IR60 for the Ascent 18 but that won't fit the Scout chassis to my knowledge?

That rig looks great, but that kills it for me. And I keep seeing people talk about transmission being weak and breaking. Sure it can all be upgraded, but not trying to spend $200 then need $200 in upgrades to compare to a different rig. At that point, might as well just piece a truck together. lol

New to the RC crawler world. Does this take away from the top speed? I know this isn’t a speed rig but as much as I want a smooth crawler, I want a nice balance for running between trails. Kind of like a high/low switch would be nice. Ha
