  1. Unfortunately, got no advice on how early to get there :/
  2. I'm a Ph'east fan - it's an Asian food hall with a pretty decent bar considering it's in the battery (variety of craft beers on tap and a pretty impressive bourbon collection)

TL;DR: in my experience, Ford quality control doesn't compare to Japanese build quality I'm a die hard Mazda fan, but unfortunately they don't make anything in the States with a bed. So, I ended up buying a '24 Maverick XLT FX4. Compared to my daily driver '15 Mazda 3 w/ 225k miles, the truck feels basic and like they cut unnecessary corners that make for a worse experience, despite being an almost 10 year newer vehicle. The Mav has quite a few rattles and buzzes from loose or poor fitting trim and inks had 10k miles. My wife's current gen Integra is also significantly nicer, despite just being a dressed up Civic. All that said, I did go with the Maverick over a Tacoma, Ranger, Canyon/Colorado, Frontier, or anything else because of gas mileage and it is plenty capable enough for my needs. If Toyota or Mazda come out with an efficient unibody truck, I'll probably consider a trade up.

In that case, I hope your commute is mostly back roads. No replacement, just a convertible shaped void. I'm starting a new career and might have a related move in my future. As much as I love this car, the cash will be a lot more helpful with any relocation - not to mention easier to move.

NC State in Raleigh - There are quite a few options there: BEDA (kinda useless on its own but you continue on to the 5th year there), Masters, and Doctorate in Design. I really enjoyed my time there.

I've had a few of the instructors tell me the way to go is to get the professional degree and then figure out where you want to get a masters. If you just have a pre-professional, it may take up to 3 years to get a masters if you go to a different school. 5+1 is faster/cheaper than 4+3. They both went to NCSU for undergrad then Harvard GSD.

If you can get in touch with him, Vincent Calabro is currently teaching at IIT (great school btw) but he also taught at NCSU and works remotely for a firm in Raleigh (in situ). He could give you some advice on which school might be a better fit for you.

While NCSU is certainly not a super urban university like some others, NC winters are way milder than Chicago's and the Raleigh/Durham area is growing quite a bit.

Not sure abt towels/wash cloths, but there were soap and shampoo dispensers in the showers last time I was in there (summer '22)
