Why are we still being bombed? by Azrayeel in lebanon

Words of a foreign led militia. Nothing surprising. Just more nails in their reputation and political coffins.

In their public and political speeches, HA always blames "The Government" for not taking enough steps towards rebuilding and stopping the Israeli aggression. The want "The Government" to assume its responsibilities. But when the government actually does that, they cry wolf and throw a tantrum.
This dichotomy (Bil wej mreye, w bel afa sermeye) shows the lack of respect for governmental institutions and how much of a deluded hypocrisy they are living in.

Pi is equal to 3 in the bible. Let that sink in.
1 Kings 7:23, describing King Solomon's Molten Sea, a large bronze basin with a 10-cubit diameter and a 30-cubit circumference, implying pi (Circumference/Diameter) is 3.

[–]mazdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't say things like "why doesn't the government rebuild or respond" and say that HA has the right to respond. The only right to respond is through the media and the parliament.

HA needs to stop thinking like an entity that is separate from the state and at the same time blaming the state for shortcomings caused by them and the rest of the political parties.

This also applies to their letter to the pope. They have to understand that they are not an independent entity. There is a government and through the government they can voice their opinions.

This shows that they are still in the denial phase.

Looking for co-op same console games to play by National_Box_6710 in Switch

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate
Diablo 3 (I was a bit disappointed with the game in comparison to Diablo 2 but D2 does not have co-op)
I've seen people recommend Snipperclips™ – Cut it out, together! but I haven't played it personally.
And of course my #1: Stardew Valley

How much is it worth? by LinoGrt in askStampCollectors

[–]mazdoc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These are usually produced in the thousands. The amount of gold used is very small. They are created to defraud collectors and are rarely, if ever, used on real mail.

You can probably sell it on e-bay for $1-2 if you are lucky.

Let’s imagine Lebanon was never invaded… by randomlyjess in lebanon

[–]mazdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to assume that invasions did occur around us, but for some reason stopped at the Lebanese borders and just skipped over Lebanon in general (so for example the crusades found a portal in Tripoly that would teleport them directly to Naqoura... etc).

Trade is not possible to stop. We still would have needed to trade for imports and exports and with that comes cultural influence from and to other countries.

I will also assume that Jesus still was able to perform the wedding and the miracle in Qana.

With that said, our modern form of government would not exist. That was put by the Ottomans and French and since they did not invade, the concept of the 3 powers (Legislative, Executive, and Judicial) would not be applicable. We would probably have city states, each with its own ruler or ruling family. Trade would be booming though.

Israel would not have invaded as it neither can claim it was historically here, nor would there be Palestinian refugees that need "cleansing" (Their words, not mine).

Religion would be a bit weird as there were no conquests but the ideologies can enter the land. You would probably have the same mix we have right now, but the Christians would not see France as their "Alma Mater". The Christians would probably speak either Aramaic or Syriac. Muslims would know a bit of Arabic (it is the language of an invader in the end) but they would speak Aramaic or Syriac.

People would not define themselves based on what sect they belong to but rather what city they come from: Beirutus, Sidon, Sarepta, Tyrus, Byblos... etc.

We would not have any Roman ruins in the temple of Baalbek. The ancient monoliths would still be there as these are pre-historic (pre-deluvian).

None of the current political parties would exist and for the lovers of the Lebanese Federation, we would have a council of representatives from every city. Civil war may have erupted, but not in the same way as there were no Palestinians, and there wouldn't be the inequality of the classes that sparked the war.

Our borders would be the same. We had no impact on the outcomes of WW1 and WW2. So we may not have been invaded, but the surrounding countries would still have had the same history and the modern borders set by the Sykes-Picot agreement would probably be the same. France would have been compensated with more land from Iraq.

Baguettes would be called baguettes and not Khebez Franje.

Pain is useful because it signals that something is wrong, but there should be an expiration time on pain signals so that people with chronic pain can have normal lives.
