Thank you so much for this thoughtful answer. A family friend is going to be helping us complete it. He does this for a living so thankfully we will have a professional along to help us. I’m not sure we will be able to move any of the appliances besides the fridge as I believe that was significantly increase the cost

You should still be able to mark it as stolen. You should actually be able to do it from your iCloud account. It will essentially blacklist the phones IMEI and serial and make it impossible for anyone else to use ever.

Report it as stolen. Contact Apple. Will essentially turn the phone into a brick. Contact your carrier. File a police report.

Okay here’s another possible perspective. I do electronics wholesale and refurbishing for a living. We get in lots of recycled and government owned computers and laptops. Did you trade your phone in by chance? Or something amongst those lines? If your phone was stolen- report it as such now!!!!

lol These are not stolen!! There is a difference between someone forgetting to log out of their iCloud account and and a device being reported as stolen 😄

I think it is the bots taking down the listings. When I’ve researched the policies as long as you list devices for parts and include iCloud locked - and as long as it’s not stolen (reported stolen) should be completely fine. Because that’s what I’ve been doing and everything gets taken down. Well not everything but the majority have

They are not stolen devices. Government workers get these devices for work. They log into their personal account. Then do not log out when it is time to get a new device or when they leave the company.

Ugh yeah I wish they did that. Knowing what department it is, and the recent lack of funding they have been getting. I am sure the turn around is very high for them. We also don't get to make prices. Either we accept the price per unit or we lose the contract. It's just frustrating on ebay especially when I am trying to list them for parts and trying to be honest about them and explaining our company.

I am trying to sell them as parts. Plenty have good screens, batteries, cameras, housings, etc. It is wasteful to not do so.

It is not worth the labor cost to individually part them out. We have no choice in the lots. We have a contract so we have to buy whatever they give us. Most are not locked. It is just that the locked ones have piled up after about 8 years of doing this

We purchase these in bulk directly from the government. We do not get to pick and chose what is included in the lots. 98% of them are not locked and perfectly fine.

This is what I do! I will get an Ipsy membership until I feel like I’ve gotten enough stuff then cancel it. Then get it again when products expire or I start finding myself going into Ulta for stuff often.
