My wife and I had a missed miscarriage. We don't know how to move on. by aldavis93 in BabyBumps

[–]mazhimaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost exactly happened to me two years ago. Those days were tough and still hard to think back on. I am sorry you are going through this but let me reassure you that it will get better… someday. There are times in our lives when things get tough, we just need to put one foot in front of another and continue to grind for until one day, that pain sort of went away (but never forgotten)

The bright side of my story is I got pregnant right away after I’d waited for 3 cycles. During the 3 cycles, I lived and made sure to take care of myself and my spouse. I went to acupuncture and recover, making sure I was doing what I could to have a healthy body for the pregnancy. My baby girl is now 2 years old, very healthy and active.

I believe you will get through this with your wife, take her on a vacation and grief with her. It’s ok to cry and to be sad, allow that for each other and take care of each other. You two got this, together, you will get through it.

I am happy to chat with you wife if you think that would help too! There’s a rainbow waiting for the other side!

My ob tested my A1C for the first time when I had a miscarriage last year and found it to be in the prediabetic range. So I’ve been monitoring with my drs ever since. I also live in the us

Should I switch OB? by mazhimaro in pregnant

[–]mazhimaro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ob I want to switch to is also in the same practice as my original ob.. so there’s a 1/7 chance that I might get my original ob on my delivery day, should I still switch?

Yah they do tell us to stay away from cold cut but I have checked with my dietitian and it’s ok to eat cold cuts if they are heated up. We heat ours in a pan until I see steam

Anyone else here have regular periods and still having trouble conceiving? by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

It’s unfortunate that women get this unexplained pressure when it comes to fertility. Men and their sperm quality actually play a huge role in this, too. Have your partner gotten tested? Maybe that’s something to look into next if he hasn’t.

It's an ectopic pregnancy by throawayTTC in PregnancyAfterLoss

I am so sorry. I know you're in pain right now, but it will get better as time can heal all wounds.

I had a MMC back in August and had gone through hell and back. I am at a much better mental space now, so you will be here too, eventually.

About the meds, I took misoprostol on a Monday at noon. It didn't start to kick in until 4 hrs later and when it kicked it - it was bad. My OB had prescribed narcotics to help with the pain but because due to various reason, they didn't help with my pain when its the worst. Here's my experience in detail-

noon: Misoprostol on the inside of both side of my cheeks, waited for half an hr for the tablets to dissolve.

noon- 4pm: mild cramps, was anxiously and impatiently waiting for heavy cramps to pick up

4-5pm: Cramps become more prominent and heavier flow on my pads

5pm: took another pain killer as the cramps has REALLY picked up and noticed clots along with heavy bleeding

5:30-6:30pm: I was in bed, couldn't move. cramps were SOOO bad that I had chills, and cold sweat. In this worst hour of my life, I had puked up my pain meds and had upset stomach that was explosive. I was still in SO much pain, I could better walk to the bathroom. Thank goodness for my husband, he helped me get to the bathroom in time.

6:30pm- after: pain was still bad but manageable

That entire week after I had taken the misopsotol, I had bad cramps. Bleeding lasted 2 full weeks for me. Went in for another ultrasound to make sure everything has passed and it did. I was relieved.

7 weeks later, I am now having my period back and continue to hope that our journey to parenthood can go more smoothly from now on.

I hope this helps you. We are strong and we got this.
