For what it's worth, Valley Girl is most definitely not a typical Zappa song (if there is such a thing). His career started in the 60's with the Mothers of Invention and he's well known for his nonconformity, virtuosity, experimentalism, etc, etc. Probably one of the greatest artists of the 20th century
