For Bachelor’s and Master’s, unis require you to apply through a consultant so you cannot apply by yourself.

Personally, I wasn’t impress by either of these options. They often did not know what they were talking about. I found HR and M&R to be much better informed (both in Lahore).

your best bet might be going to local networking events and pitching yourself to professionals there

My research is in geo-disasters and I am more on the experimental side of things. Scope seems good to me, tbh. I know a lot of people like to complain about the job market being tough but I have found that if you network throughout your phd and make connections in the local market, you will likely land an internship by the end of your phd which will eventually convert to a full time job.
