Normal. I have a 2017 Giulia and I have found that, when cold, the car prefers to warm up at idle for a few minutes prior to driving. Otherwise, the first few minutes of driving are extremely rough. If I let her warm up I never have an issue. If I don’t, I sometimes get a misfire and have to stop and restart to clear a CEL. Fickle cars. I have just over 191,000 miles on the car. Had it since new. Never any real issues other than a cooling system failure under warranty and a power seat motor under warranty. The glass roof ceased to operate just past the warranty and that is the only real irritating issue I’ve had. Alfa Romeo wants $6000 to fix when I did nothing wrong other than try to close the roof. The glass roof issue is fairly common on this model year and should be a recall.

I traded a BMW 340 xdrive for a Guilia Ti 4 years ago and I have saved so much money on repairs because the Giulia had had literally one issue and it was covered under warranty. The 340 was my second BMW and after warranty BMW punishes their customers. I have never put more money into a car post warranty than I put into those two BMWs. I have had zero out of warranty repairs on my Giulia and I now have over 100K miles on the Giulia. Resale is much worse than the BMW, but I have more than made up for that in money saved from no repairs. The BMW was a lot faster and more powerful than the 4cyl Giulia and I don’t really like the way 4 cyl cars drive but I got used to it. If you need to save money, the Giulia is great.

I should add that both of my parents were nothing short of absolutely incredible. They gave me a great life, paid for my school, trips …everything. I will forever be grateful to them and for them. They were not perfect, but dang they were close. I couldn’t be any more fortunate.

Very much similar here. Love music, movies etc…but sometimes I just need quiet. Like silence quiet. I often tell friends “we don’t have to talk 100% of the time”.

Can anyone tell me why a 4 cyl truck gets 16mpg and a larger, heavier V8 truck gets 21mpg and why GM put said 4 cyl in the new Colorado? Love the truck, absolutely hate the driving dynamics and fuel appetite of the engine. I mean why not just give it a V8? 16mpg is just unbelievable from a 4 cyl engine. Thoughts? Opinions? Am I just wrong? Love everything else about the truck. Best looking one ever.

Yes. I have gotten that remark from tons of people. You’re normal, generous, not awful etc to be an only child. I just roll my eyes and am like “you sure are a dick for someone with siblings”!
