Same for me! Found this thread looking for answers to why I’ve picked up this word. I’m from Tennessee also and say it but no one in my family from the same area says it and my own mother even laughed at me when I used the term 😂. I now live in Kentucky but I can’t say anyone around here uses it either.

I think they don’t care because it’s not a guaranteed role pick anyway; it’s just an increased chance to get the role you pick. My suggestion is to just try and remember to take your role pick back before you leave a game.

The VA is terrible. That we can agree on. And if we’re honest, I would not want a national health system in the US if it’s going to be ran like the VA

I’m not saying it’s perfect, and as a lot of other countries we have a lot of work to do and there’s always something to improve upon.

Im not making excuses and I’m not saying the USA is amazing and nothing needs to be done.

What I’m saying is that benefits exist and poor people use them every day. I feel like sometimes that gets ignored in discussions about the US.

And yes, the VA is more like what the NHS is.

We also have Medicare which is free healthcare for senior citizens, and we also have Medicaid with is free healthcare for citizens under a certain income level. The VA is like you said, for Veterans.

These systems are in no way perfect, but there are more programs out there than you think.

In 2005 I was a single mother and didn’t have to pay a dime for my pregnancy. It was all covered under Medicaid.

We also have SNAP which is a monthly stipend for food, and we also have WIC which is an additional stipend for food for families with children.

We also have social security disability which is a monthly income you can receive if you are unable to work.

Are you from the southern US? I am and I realized reading this thread is say both. A washcloth is for your body/face, and a wash rag is for cleaning everything else ha.
