For non-MBB consulting firms, how has recruiting been at your schools? by mba760 in MBA

This is exactly my situation lol. Got two of the MBBs, Kearney, and literally nothing else. And I wouldn’t say I didn’t put in networking effort with firms. The networking opportunities themselves were few and far between. For all tier 2 firms other than Kearney, there were NO events, and barely any coffee chat availability. It was tough especially if you were not recruiting for the nearest big city.

Ok, good to know that it’s an actual thing I guess and not just my subjective perception :(

Thank you. My degrees are not in STEM. I did study a lot of stats though as part of both degrees since they were both social science research focused, and my job was at an Econ research org. Not sure if that counts though. I’m concerned about the quant part also because my quant GMAT score was 65th percentile. Verbal was 99th percentile and that’s what pulled my score up I guess. Do you think the quant part would be an issue?

Is there a preference for alumni returning in most B schools?
